Tucked away in a cul de sac, the Kutaya is a beautiful Balinese style accommodation hotel.||After the check in, were were shown to our room, there are two accommodation blocks, but it looks like the rooms as are the same layout. With only about 20 rooms, it is a quiet hotel and well shielded from any traffic noise.||The grounds are beautifully presented and maintained. While they are small it is great to see the pride in Balinese religion and architecture employed at the Kutaya. The intricate workmanship of the Balinese parts of the Kutaya is stunning and they should be complimented on this. The grounds are very clean and the pool is clean and clear.||The rooms all have a balcony and inside they are spacious with a comfortable bed and TV with Foxtel channels. The Bathroom is also good with hot and cold running water and is clean as you would expect.||The breakfast was basic, but with two options, Indonesian or Eggs with Toast, plus fruit and self serve tea or coffee. ||The position of the Hotel makes it a great place for airport access, only 5 minutes away by car or bike. I would recommend this Hotel for a night or two. We used it as a convenient overnight stay to catch our flight the next day and would stay here again. If you are after a resort type accommodation then look elsewhere, but if you want a inexpensive well located Hotel near the airport or Kuta shopping and restaurants then you will be hard pressed to find a...
Read more① If you have hair, you should definitely avoid it. Not being able to use a hair dryer is fatal. It seems that it cannot be used as a room facility. When I tried to use the overseas hair dryer, the electricity went out in an instant. If my hair dryer cannot be used, I asked if I could borrow one that I could use, but they said they didn't have one and that you can't use a hair dryer in the room! I had to sleep with a cold head the whole time I was here, and I couldn't enjoy my vacation because of insomnia and catching a cold. ② This is the first time I've stayed at a place where the sound of footsteps from the room above and the sound of things being dropped echoes. ③ The pillow had a terrible aging smell. Are they washing it properly? ④ I appreciate that they fill the bottle with water every day, but there was white mold growing on the inside (water side) of the cork of the bottle stopper, so I didn't feel like using it even though it should be clean water. ⑤ If you damage the facilities even a little, you will be charged. When I checked out, I was very worried that I would be blamed for damages that I...
Read moreDo NOT go here I promise you will be disappointed. We booked a one nighter only as a stop in place as we had a 11:30 pm flight just wanted a place to have a swim, rest and shower before heading to the airport. The staff were not very welcoming it was weird vibes, the room was crap and had a smell but it was nothing compared to what the bathroom smelled like 🤢 was the strongest smell of mould/sewerage/chemicals. They had air fresheners hanging everwhere to try mask the smell. We kept the front door open as it was sickening. Literally was ment to just be a pit stop of a few hours before the airport but couldn't even have a shower as it was too gross, we got changed, got our phones charged and RAN! Also not a nice area pretty much in the ghetto of Bali I would not have felt safe walking around. Will never make the mistake of a cheap pit stop near the airport again, definitely just pay extra for late check out where you're staying. I can't understand how this place got any good reviews. Also only getting one star as I can't post without it but otherwise...
