The photos of the hotel do not match what it really is, we arrived and they did not have a double bed as we paid. They put two beds together and didn't even put a double sheet on them… we ordered food to the room at a normal price in Bali, and even a little expensive. The phone call when we ordered the room service that they have included said that it would take too long with our food, finally the woman who brought the food seemed like she was doing us a favor. They told us that we had to pay immediately, we tried with our card and since we don’t know why it did not read it they sent us to the ATM to withdraw money... Without even having eaten dinner... The portions are small, I'm going to upload photos so you can see... I paid 85 rupees for the chicken parmi and it seems like a joke. My boyfriend had to walk at night looking for an ATM and ate their cold food because they wanted us to pay NOW! Every hotel where we had been included our dinner in the final payment. The rooms, very not pleasant.

Perfect stay hotel for budget conscious travellers wanting to be close to the airport as a priority. What’s more… the hotel throws in free transfers anyway so although walkable… better the comfort of a car. Set in a quiet and narrow lane well away from noisy traffic. Nearby are some excellent warung / restaurants I’ve reviewed separately. The room is secure but small and not that well lit, the mattress is your typical somewhat hard but normal for Indonesia type. The bed was otherwise clean and comfortable. The bathroom has enough hot water but it is not well lit or modern in a three star hotel way. Sufficient PowerPoints for charging. Space for one medium bag opened up. My room had two room safes. Wow! Lovely pool and it has some shade too so perfect for all day use. For a two star hotel you can’t fault it! Of course for very slightly more you can stay at the Quest hotel nearby, and it punches well above its three star rating.

We were given a room in a really bad condition. I cannot tell if they have others, for us they obviously did not. We fortunately just stayed for a night. Spider webs, old and worn towels and bed sheets with traces of whatever fluid events of the past. A dirty and smelly bathroom with a loose faucet and dripping siphon. A very sharp door handle there! Dangerously sharp! They are friendly. The driver helped with our luggage. What was strange that on check out they needed to „inspect“ the room. Considering its condition we felt it was highly inappropriate. Only the two coffee mugs were objects to either destroy or „lose“. Neither was in our interest, as nothing from this room would have touched my lips in this life. The free airport pick up was a cool option. Looking back though it wasn’t worth it. Also any other transport is overpriced.

We flew in at 11pm, and were extremely glad to have someone from the hotel picking us up. It meant we didn't have to stress about negotiating with the myriad of drivers shouting at us! The driver was very helpful and friendly.

We arrived at the hotel within 10 minutes, check in was quick and easy, and we were shown to our room. We were on the third floor, and there are no lifts, but the driver helped carry up our luggage. We don't mind the stairs, but if you have mobility issues, definitely ask for a lower floor!

They had turned on the aircon in preparation for us, which was a lovely surprise. The room was clean and adequately sized. The bed was sufficiently comfortable. There were only two pillows, so if you need extras, maybe you could ask at reception. The curtains were nice and thick, which meant that the room was very dark. They weren't block out blinds, but they were close enough to get a very good night's sleep.

Despite being very close to the airport, the sound of planes was quieter than I was expecting.

There were two bottles of water, a kettle, tea and coffee available in the room.

The bathroom was very small and old, but it was clean, and the shower pressure was good. Yes, it smelled a bit musty and damp, but I don't think it was from lack of cleaning. I think it's just a product of the humidity in a small, poorly ventilated space.

The walkway outside the room served as a nice balcony with a couple of chairs and a table.

Definitely a great room for the price, excellent service, and great location if you're just staying before/after catching a flight. We only stayed the night, and didn't look around the area much. We didn't try the food, but there is a little restaurant downstairs.

The pool area was full of plants and felt...

My stay at Hotel Manggar in Kuta Bali was utterly disappointing. The experience was horrendous.||Upon checkout, I was shockingly charged an extra 25,000 for alleged bloodstains on the pillow, which, by the way, were not even mine. If I had indeed experienced nosebleeds, I would have been the first to acknowledge it. However, the manager callously insisted on payment for linen spotting, disregarding any sense of reason or fairness. In all my travels, I have never encountered such a blatant attempt at extortion.||It's not merely about the insignificant amount of 25,000; it's about the sheer audacity and lack of integrity displayed by the hotel staff. I refuse to be taken advantage of in such a manner. I assure you, I am not fabricating this story. Had I been responsible for the supposed stains, I would have reported it to the hotel management myself.||If you have any intentions of staying at Hotel Manggar in Kuta-Bali, proceed with caution. Be prepared to be exploited for even the slightest mishap. Additionally, the bathroom facilities were disgustingly outdated and filthy. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this establishment. There are countless other options in the area that are...
