Stayed here for my honeymoon for one night. They gave us a small cake and a lovely bed spread in the shape of a heart and a card which was a lovely touch.

Value - The room is good for the price. You get a full kitchenette which is great if you are staying for more than one night and means you don't have to purchase breakfast. There is hot water in the walk-in shower which gets very hot and the bed is firm and large. AC works fine and there is also a balcony. Good space to put your luggage and they also provide a torch and shopping bag.

Rooftop pool - I didn't get a chance to go in but I did go up to look at it and walk along the edge. It is a nice pool not too cold even at night and would be a great place to relax.

Breakfast - I didn't purchase breakfast because we wanted a lie in but I didn't see a lot of people there for breakfast and there are a lot of other options on the street.

Location is good although definitely rent a motorbike as this will help you get around faster. Walking to the nearest shopping centre can get tiring. There is a good and cheap spa just opposite the hotel.

Issues - The bathroom could be bigger it's a bit cramped in there and you open the door to the toilet which isn't ideal but not a major issue. When I was there I heard some banging in the morning from construction going on above us. The hotel could warn guests about this or start work after we checked out as we were trying to have a lie in from a long haul flight.

Another annoying thing was we were asked to check all of the itinerary in the room which was extensive as it had a kitchenette. We were so tired after our flight that we didn't do this but I don't think the hotel should be asking guests to do this surely hotel staff should be checking these things.

Other than that I would still return if I needed to be based in the same area.

Important note they ask for a 200,000 IDR deposit at check-in. Not sure why as I paid in full and they had my card details but something to bare in mind for those that may not...

Absolutely phenomenal service and hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our month long trip to Bali. We had stayed at Rama Residence Petitenget at the start of our, and loved it so much that we wanted to give Rama Padma a go! They certainly didn’t disappoint. Pre-reservation contact over WhatsApp with Oming was amazing, and we had an incredibly smooth check in process with a welcome drink, snack and cool towels and of course the most warming and hospitable welcome right from the start. ||All of the staff are amazing - everyone is so friendly, smiley, welcoming and they truly want you to have a fantastic stay with them. Oming was fantastic, she is incredibly professional and warming (as is everyone!). All of the reception staff go above and beyond and the cleaning staff are also so friendly and do a fantastic job of making sure the place is spotless! Our room was delightful prepared by Radit - thank you. We also received a lovely upgrade to a family suite and they also accommodated a complimentary late check out which was incredibly kind of them to cater for, allowing us to stay later as we have an evening flight. The room had everything we needed - we didn’t want to leave! ||The breakfast was also great, with lots to choose from. We are all vegetarian and the restaurant staff were more than accommodating to ensure we were well catered for, allowing us to remove certain things from their dishes to cater for our dietary requirements. It felt very authentic and we were always warmly greeted in the restaurant too. ||The pool staff are also super smiley and helpful, and our driver to the airport (I’m sorry can’t remember his name!), was also lovely and efficient. ||All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel enough! The staff are so so amazing - well done Rama Residence team on yet another fantastic stay ❤️|Thank you all for making us feel so welcome and our stay so memorable! We can’t wait...

This hotel has hands down been my favourite place to stay in Bali. From check in to check out, it's been amazing. I had recently been a victim of theft and the staff at Rama definitely restored my faith in Bali. They made my stay comfortable and took the time to check in on me from time to time and make sure I was ok.

Breakfast was good, you order whatever you want from the a la carte menu so you know your food is arriving fresh! Discounts are also available for lunch and dinner.

I was surprised with an upgrade on arrival to their 1 bedroom suite. Although nice, it was akin to a 1 bedroom flat complete with a fully equipped kitchen and open plan living room and diner. The balcony was spacious and there was also a smaller balcony that can be accessed from the bedroom. As I said, it was nice, however it wasn't spectacular - I felt like I was staying in someone's apartment on Airbnb! It was the first hotel I've stayed in in Bali where I've had no complaints about the cleanliness of the sheets or even the bugs! Yes there were mosquitoes but housekeeping provided me with spray to get rid of them.

Every single staff member I came across was so friendly and full of smiles. Richard and Made even kept me company at breakfast, offered their sympathy at the theft and entertained me with their stories about how they ended up at Rama.

The laundry is a fantastic little perk. It's free to use the washer/dryer and soap powder can be purchased from reception at 6000IDR per sachet. Sooo affordable!

The infinity pool is also absolutely stunning. It's on the rooftop and provides some great inspiration for those sunset pictures.

If I were to return to Bali I would definitely stay here again. It's not the cheapest but it's worth every penny. Usually you get what you pay for but here you get...

If you are looking for a home away from home look no further: Rama Residence Padma is a super comfortable oasis located in one of Bali’s most popular tourist areas. The staff was extremely welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived and greeted us with cold towels and a delicious welcome drink. When we first saw our rooms we couldn’t believe our eyes! Everything is so tasteful and the room is as big as an entire apartment. It features a very modern kitchen with everything you need to cook yourself some meals, a living room with very stylish interior design and a huge flat screen, a super cozy bedroom with a huge bed and a spacious bathroom with one of the best waterfall showers I ever had. Even though the residence is surrounded by many bars, cafes and restaurants it is always very quiet and we felt very relaxed during our entire stay. The beach is also only a few minutes away. If you prefer pools don’t miss the one on the rooftop - especially during sunset you will have a breathtaking view over Bali. Another huge plus was the breakfast. It is being served at their famous restaurant Asian Spice and is simply delicious. We feasted on Eggs Benedict, pancakes, French Toast and fresh juice. The restaurant’s interior design is very vintage and makes you feel like residing in a luxurious palace from times long past. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and can’t wait to be back!

RAT FOUND IN ROOM We stayed three nights at this hotel and on our last night found a live rat in our room, right next to our baby’s crib. We found a hole in the ceiling that the rat had entered from and ran back to. It was extremely distressing. Staff moved us to another room at 9 pm — the only reason we stayed was because our baby needed to sleep. The next morning, after speaking with three levels of management, the hotel still refused to offer any refund or meaningful compensation, only a free extra night, lunch at the hotel or 20% off our next stay (why would we want to come back?). Management stated that they patched the hole, but the rat was not located and there is no possible way they checked the other rooms within the hotel. For a hotel rated 9.2, I am truly shocked by this hotel and their management. The hygiene issue itself was bad enough, but the lack of accountability made it worse. Families should be aware — this was not handled professionally or safely. We’ve travelled widely and rarely leave negative reviews, but this was genuinely unacceptable. A rat in a guest room (especially beside a baby’s bed) is a serious health and safety issue, and the hotel’s unwillingness to take responsibility was deeply disappointing. We hope management addresses this properly so no other family experiences the same thing.
