This is a lovely venue but I haven’t had much luck with the food. Had a salad sandwich the first visit, couldn’t tell if the bread had been very lightly toasted or had dried out waiting for my sandwich to be delivered. In the end I just ate the filling.

Today I ordered a Lokal with the lot burger. The meat pattie was raw. Sent it back, the next one came out the same and they told me that meat in Bali is red even when it’s cooked. Consensus amongst other regular Bali travellers is that the patties are placed on the grill frozen, the outside cooks and the inside defrosts but doesn’t cook. Not a pleasant dining experience on either occasion.

Delicious food, great coffee and soy milk, good cocktails in the evening, excellent service any time of day, an adjoining shop with locally made items so you can shop while you wait for your meals. This was a great little find! My only complaint was the lack of air-conditioning which they already assist with by offering you fresh cool towels as soon as you sit. This place is right amongst the action on Garlic Lane and is definitely worth the visit for breakfast lunch or dinner. We've tried it for all meal times and really enjoyed it.
