COLLECTION O 1301 Hotel Grand Citra — Hotel in Makassar

I was passing through Makassar to visit the villages of West Sulawasi and opted to stay one night here. The best part about the place was the reception staff who helped me find a car rental. I didn’t speak Indonesian and he made calls for me at the desk to coordinate a car. The staff even waited after his shift for the car to be delivered at the hotel. I was very touched by this. The hotel was easy for taxi drivers to find. I didn’t find the location to be walkable or close to anything of interest. The room had a leaky sink faucet that constantly made the floor wet and smelled of mildew. This is the first hotel I’ve stayed at where bedsheets were painfully stained with many holes from cigarettes. The walls had bloody finger marks. I will be passing through Makassar again to fly out and will not be staying here again, unfortunately. I stay in this hotel just for a night, i arrive around 10.30 pm, since i have night flight from previous city, when i arrived there is no one at receptionist, i have to wait about 10 minutes, and when i want to take shower, no towels, and the faucet in my bathroom is broken, so they arrange me to get another room, (after i complain). In the new room, still No hot water for shower, no toilet tissue, no complimentary water for drink, and they wake me up in the morning to deliver mineral water, i thought it’s the late complimentary water, but guess what, it’s not for me, it’s for room next door that ordered it, they wake me up for deliver something that wasn’t meant for me, and they wake me up again to take it back.|So...

Best Price for Price range (via Agoda).|Great location in the middle of the city's hotspots.||Comfort-wise, get the DELUXE room at minimal as the Standard is cramped. STAY AWAY from rooms situated nead the elevator as WIFI signal is a hit and miss experience||WIFI is good for streaming and getting work done and you should ask for rooms nearest to wifi repeater.||CLEANLINESS is random to each room and floor.
