We had a terrible experience at this restaurant and do not recommend it at all.
I can’t help but feel that we were treated differently due to racial bias. The service was extremely poor. The waitstaff blatantly ignored me when I tried to get their attention, and even when they clearly saw me, they made no effort to come over. We had to wait a long time after being seated, and no one offered us menus until I had to ask for one myself. Meanwhile, I noticed two waitress being very attentive and cheerful toward their white customers.
When we were finally ready to order—after calling the server at least three times—they informed us that more than half of the dishes on the menu were sold out. They didn’t bother telling us this earlier, forcing us to rethink our entire order, which wasted more time. The service at this restaurant made me furious. I don’t understand why, especially since the servers themselves are Asians, there was such a clear distinction in how we Asians were treated compared to others. Shame on you!
As for the food, it was far from worth the price. The portions were very small. The “special size” pho wasn’t enough to fill even a moderately hungry adult woman. The grilled pork chop rice had a very small, dry piece of meat, and the rice had a grainy texture, lacking any softness...
Read moreworst branch. Came for dinner last night but ended up miserable! We've asked for a menu that wasn't available the moment we arrived, so we can avoid to order from the get go. We rechecked to the waiter to make sure the menu we order are available and she said yes. 30 minutes later the first menu arrived, 15 minutes later the second menu arrived. An hour, we were informed that the bahn mi was out of stock. Ridiculous! Haven't we asked from the start? why do you just say that if the ingredients run out after 1 hour and we see another table that came later and add bahn mi can get it??? So it's the ingredients or the chaos kitchen work order to blame???? What made us even more annoyed was that the bun cha wasn't ready for a total of 1.5 hours, and even then I asked three times. if it's not ready then just cancel, but they keep saying in a minute, 5 minutes 5 minutes. Once it arrived, the taste are far from the one i tasted in mevui renon and mevui sanur. And we are tired of the "i'm sorry it's crowded" reason from the shift manager. We went to mevui in renon, it's flooded with buses and groups but they never dissapoint us like this and we never have to waste...

MeVui Penida is an excellent choice for Vietnamese cuisine on Nusa Penida. The location is remarkable, with a stunning view of Mount Agung across the water, especially during sunset. We visited at low tide and found the atmosphere to be relaxed and beautiful.
The restaurant is accommodating to both families and dogs. The manager, Charlie, is very welcoming to all guests. Having been raised in Vietnam, he has a keen understanding of the cuisine and adds a personal touch to the service.
We both ordered the Pho Saigon and found it to be fresh and flavorful. Additionally, the Vietnamese coffee is noteworthy for its quality.
Please note that the entrance to MeVui Penida is somewhat hidden from the road, so it’s important to pay attention when arriving. Despite this, the restaurant is well worth a visit and stands out as one of the best Vietnamese options on...
