Warung Nikmat by Kayuna Villa — Restaurant in Nusa Penida Subdistrict

For the first night we came over at about 8pm hoping to get some supper before heading back to our hotel at Kulkul Bungalow but they were closed already so advice not to come too late! But we didnt give up on them and came back the next day lunch time the owner is super friendly and English speaker coincidentally found out that we are from Singapore and share with us that he had worked in Singapore for 6 months before at first the place is really empty we thought since the review was quite nice maybe we should give it a try bcos I really wanted to try some traditional Indo food it’s quite hard to find in this island and it is really near our stay at Kulkul Bungalow! The kambing sate was out of expectation they were really really good the aroma and taste of the peanut sauce with the sate is a perfect match we also tried the kambing soup it was super flavourful too but if youre scared of the skin just ignore it and try the meat they were super soft and yummy! An absolute gem of a warung, run by the sweetest couple ever : I Nyoman Ladra and Komang Poni Andayani ❤️ We ended up coming here six days in a row, and every meal was a delight. Cheapest prices in the area, yet the quality was amazing — everything is homemade, flavorful, and full of heart.

We literally tried the entire menu: Mie Goreng, Nasi Goreng, Gado Gado, Ayam Goreng, Soto Ayam, Bakso… and even the local fried fish with sambal matah — that sauce is unforgettable! 🌶️🐟

But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the warm hospitality of the owners. We had so many lovely conversations with them — always smiling, kind, and incredibly welcoming. It truly felt like home.

If you want to experience a Balinese massage, she is an expert at it (she was a professional masseuse at The Laguna resort and Spa Nusadua and for VVIP guest on cruise ships at Maldive) so you can book an incredible massage with her !

Hidden gem of a warung! run by a lovely couple Komang and Ladra. found this on maps as i was searching for good local food. i’ve already been back twice and will be back a third time before i leave the island. the food is fresh, comes fast, and the green sambal is the yummiest sambal i’ve tasted in bali!!! i tried the lamb nasi goreng which is pretty unique, and i haven’t seen it anywhere else. the satay lamb is delicious too. also recommend the fried chicken and gado gado. the prices are very reasonable and you are always greeted with a lovely smile. what more could you want!? 11/10 recommend going here for authentic...
