Lovina Beach Hotel — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Really not sure why the 4 star reviews. Disappointing, 600 rupias night with discount 480, I know, the price is chip what can I expect, but ..2 gheko in my room, window don’t close well, bathroom door pull just snap in my hand and the door don’t close properly .. cleaning is very, very, very poor and welcome cockroaches by night coming from toilet room since I can’t close the door properly. The swinging poll at the first deep ...crying eyes from all the cloro...ok I understand that we need to put some product in the pool but there are limits, balance and tests to the water to keep it in safe levels ....Staff very nice, thank you all for your hospitality, except restaurant employee, I went to ask an empty glass at 8.30 pm to drink my night drink and the waiter asked me if I was DRUNK😲I assume because I was smiling and I played with the cat while waiting for the glass, very polite and gentleman, of course this comment after the usual remarks...are you here alone ..yes, people travel solo around the world ..welcome to lovina Bali. We have a love affair with Lovina Beach Hotel and won't stay anywhere else.. came here first time many years ago, then another few times with our two kids, and now back again and were so relieved to see it is still up and running and PLEASE DON'T CHANGE Lovina Beach hotel, it is iconic, staff are so friendly and caring, primo location for 6pm sunset in outside area of the restaurant basically beachfront. Loved the ground level conjoined style rooms with deck sitting area like the good old days, quiet and peaceful. Sure don't expect this place to be super modern or top facilities, it has heart and absolutely great energy on this land and is affordable as it is. X The breakfast is good for value, the restaurant on site menu is actually so good, different options so much that we simply did our sunset drinks, then had dinner in, didn't even feel like leaving the hotel and never got bored with the menu.. their dadar gulung traditional dessert is the best we have ever had in our over 25 years of coming to Bali, and made by the chef himself.. and prices were affordable for hotel food, which is normally not the case. We love everything about Lovina Beach hotel, and can highly recommend it for great value for beach front location, and be happy that it hasn't been transformed into a concrete jungle of blocks of rooms with no heart or soul. we will be back for sure... didn't want to leave. they organise your massage in your room, so actually i was so happy to stay on site... and you can walk along the beach to a nearby bar where they have fire dancers at night and...

Bagus is on the outskirts of Lovina towards Seririt - which means that you might need your own transport if you want to go into Lovina in the evenings. - But the beach is very quiet and great for swimming in from of Bagus, food is god - so you might not want t go into Lovina. ||Rooms are very comfortable and solid - good plumbing for a change. The restaurant serves both German and Balinese food, and the food is very good. German food is very good because the late owner was German, and his wife still cooks very tasty German dishes - which is a nice break from Asian cooking if you were travelling for some time. Also very good home-baked bread with breakfast. Small pool in the garden is also nice to have in the evening, if you want a quick soak after the beach gets too dark to swim. Lovely views at sunset (you can see the mountains of East Bali/Madura on the left, and lights of Lovina on the right), and at sunrise (although I have seen that only once - rooms are pretty comfortable for sleeping, so it is difficult to get up for sunrise!). Internet works well - always a bonus in Bali.||Good Balinese fish restaurant (Ikan Bakar) few hundred meters walk towards Lovina if you fancy barbecued fish Balinese style (DELICIOUS!)||All in all, one of the more comfortable places to stay on the North...
