I started this review with three stars, while staying here: We got picked up from a hotel worker after not checking in at another hotel (too expensive for us) and followed him to have a look at this hotel. The bungalows looked nice on the first view and so we decided to stay. A guy called Rico gave us drinks and wanted to do the regular chit chat with us, but as we had a long self drive we friendly asked to skip everything and check in. Than he put a map of Lovina on the table and stared talking about diving with dolphins. Then we realized, that he didn't even work for the hotel. I just asked to talk about it tomorrow, even if we'd never do these animal disgraceful dives and he took of. Than a hotel worker came and we started talking about the price. Two rooms, three people should be 300k a night. Suddenly the promised discount for staying a couple of nights was not possible anymore and hot water costs 50k extra per night per room. For whatever reason we checked in anyways - bad mistake!
We were given one roll of toilet paper for three people and two rooms and it was a bit of a problem to get another one. No service within three days. No.service.at.all! The bins are in front of the rooms, but were not emptied within the first three days, so we dumped our rubbish in the bins of the other, empty, bungalows - they got emptied right away. Usually we deny to get fresh blankets everyday, but here we were not even asked. Never. No room service at all. No cleaning, neither inside, nor outside, not even fresh towels - at the third day we asked for it and it took a couple of times to get them, same as the toilet paper.
Of course we were not given the room we were brought to before checking in. Our rooms were dirty, had no fresh beddings, cigarette butts in the shower (I picked up seven, just from the top layer of stones) and a broken fan which a had to repair by myself.
There is free Wi-Fi in the 'lounge area' but in the evening the staff is sitting there, watching Indonesian YouTube with turned up speakers and you won't even think about relaxing.
Oh, and after checking in we were given the bill for our drinks AND the one the diving guy had! Also a bit overpriced for this county. Probably because we denied the dive..
And don't even bother asking to upgrade your fan-only room to one with ac - they don't want you to pay the price difference, instead you shall pay the full price for the new room.
Yes, it is cheap, but you get less than year...
Read moreThe room was really dirty, especially bathroom. There were no sheets, and they don't wash or change the blankets between customers (we saw when they repaired our room for the next customers). The locks on the door are not proper ones. WiFi didn't work at all. The room was full of light coming from outside all night and the workers started loud garden jobs at eight in the morning. You didn't know who where really staff there and who where not, because also not staff people made contracts with you and took your money. We booked the dolphin trip through them, which was a mistake. We were promised that normally the length is 1.5 hours but we can be longer if we want. In the end, our boat driver arrived in the morning and then disappeared for 20 minutes, so we just waited there at six in the morning and missed part of the sunrise. When he came back, we were suddenly changed to another boat with many more people. After one hour, the driver of the boat turned to go back to the hotel. We had to negotiate to get him turn around and give for us at least that 1.5 hours which is promised in every hotel's dolphin trip. Rest of the trip he mostly spoke on the phone with little interest to do his job. When we gave feedback in the hotel about our stay in there and told we were not satisfied, they...
Read moreAfter being continually harassed on the street (one of their workers kept making up stories to stop me going into a different hotel, like that I needed to park in a different location that is far away) we happened to drive passed the Pulestis Hotel. ||||We had a look and against our better judgement decided to stay. We had only been their an hour or so when we looked it up on trip advisor and saw reviews saying that stuff had been stolen from the rooms. ||||Our large front window couldn't be locked and the open air bathroom didn't have a lock either. We hadn't paid anything yet, so we wanted to move because we didn't feel comfortable anymore. That's where things got bad. ||||They tried to make me pay for the accommodation anyway. They kept asking where I will be staying next. Then the same guy we met on the street tried to get me to come up with him into the mountains somewhere, but wouldn't let me take my own car, tell me the location or give me a cell phone number to talk to him about it later. ||||We kept seeing them around town. We felt so unsafe and uncomfortable that we decided not to stay in Lovina. Worst...
