When we rolled up in the uber, we were greeted by the courteous staff AT the car, eager to meet us and grab our bags. We were provided cold drinks immediately, which were delicious BTW, along with bottled water. They were beyond welcoming, and the vibe was chill af. If you're going to be in Ubud, and you want a bit of distance from the craziness (especially during the high season), this romantic boutique is a short ride from the downtown tourist trap of Ubud, Bali. They have free shuttles every hour, between the city and Purana, which is super convenient (just tip the drivers at least 50,000 rupiah/$5CAD, each way). The staff was amazing. The food was the greatest...I mean breakfast was like 5 course, and quality. I accidentally spilled coffee all over the beautiful white comforter, and they didn't mind at all...no extra charges for the cleaning, because tea and coffee are offered free in the room. They offered a free yoga class, so they sent us our own yogi one morning...worked out on the patio, right in front of the pool, around 7am, birds chippin, fresh-cut grass, ...gave her at least 200 rupiah. Just an awesome way to start the day, before enjoying the most amazing breakfast of your life. The sunk-in tub is just what we need after backpacking through east and South Bali for a week...they provide amazing bath salts and plenty of cold beer. The TV and internet is pretty decent here. Honestly, impressive signal throughout the boutique grounds, and good movies each night. We can't wait to go back...we're ovo-vegan, and this place has plenty of gourmet food for any diet/lifestyle. Before we left, they thanked us for our stay, and put handwoven bracelets on our arms for good luck, and in hopes that we would remember our stay. Very sweet gesture from the exceptional staff at the Purana Boutique Resort. If anyone from the resort reads this, thank you for your wonderful hospitality this summer (Aug2017). It was a relaxing getaway...just what we needed in the middle of a wild Bali adventure. It was a memorable pleasure staying at your resort, one which will last our lifetime.

This Resort offers a high level of comfort and luxury, I consider myself lucky to find a really good deal months in advance, since it is expensive. It is located in the heart of Ubud jungle, and they have regular shuttle bus service to the city center. It was really one of the best stays I ever had worldwide. The resort is for adults only and has one and two bedroom Villas with private swimming pool, open outdoor kitchen and tub/shower Once you arrive you will be greeted generously by the people working and will give you a complimentary foot massage after your long trip. The villa is huge, approximately 175sqm, and has everything you need. It was spotless clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable and there were flower decorations everywhere. You could request breakfast everyday in your private kitchen or as a floating breakfast in the swimming pool. There is no buffet option but you get to choose your breakfast style everyday, whether western, continental, English or Indonesian. The food was tasty and high quality, but I always felt hungry after. Personally I would have also preferred that a buffet option was available in the resort. They offer a free yoga lesson, dancing classes once or twice a week, but you have to tell them in advance. The resort is super small so there isn't much to do outside your villa, and for dinner or yoga you have to go to their other location where most of the activities take place. You can also arrange with them private excursions all over Bali, but I wouldn't recommend it since it's much more expensive than the normal, however still convenient. My personal butler Arya was very helpful and always attended our needs and made sure to give us tips about our stay in Bali and help when he can. I asked him to arrange a romantic private candlenight dinner on our Villa, and he was able to take care of the arrangements and make our night very special This Resort was definitely worth the buck and is one of the upscale accommodation options in Bali that you should check out during your stay

We had a fantastic experience at Purana for our honeymoon. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud. This is the most service oriented place we’ve ever stayed. All of the staff members are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The person who brought breakfast to our room one morning was the same person who took us on an all day tour later. Our room was cleaned on whatever schedule worked best for us each day. Everyone remembered our names and greeted us whenever we crossed paths. All of these details made for a very personal experience. Special shout out to Agust who took us on a few tours and taught us so much about Balinese culture. Also, the food here has no right to be this good. Breakfast every morning was delicious, as were lunches and dinners. The Indonesian meals we had most nights were flavorful and authentic, and they held up as some of the best meals we had during our two weeks in Bali. As far as location, we were a little hesitant to stay outside of central Ubud for our first time in Bali, but so glad we did. The free shuttle (which is really just a private car) was flexible and easy to take to and from the main strip. The resort felt very removed from the chaotic traffic of that area. Overall this place exceeded our expectations, especially for the price. Very grateful for our time here.

We stayed for 4 nights in one of their private villas in early May. Location is on the southern side of ubud center so arriving from the airport direction you don't have to endure the traffic of the town center. At first glance the entrance seems small and modest but you don't have to take 3 steps from the car to reach the reception. Reception seems to be open 24h a day and you can always reach someone instantly by phone. There are also a lot of really good retaurants nearby within a short walking distance and mini market and such. For example Sacred Rice restaurant nearby is definitely something you have to visit, best fine dining experience we had. Area is also peaceful, I had an accident during our trip but didn't have any difficulties walking with crutches in the neighbourhood which tells a lot if you know how chaotic the local traffic can be. The Villa is simply amazing. The entrance is charming little walkway through green corridoor resmebling a fairytale and you arrive at the terrace area with your private pool, outdoor kitchen and the entrance to inside. The outdoor and inside areas are completely private. Inside of the villa you have a really nice kingsize bed that is one of the most comfortable beds I've come across away from home, a day bed, bathroom area and abundance of storage space. The toilet is partly outside area on one side of the bathroom and on the other side there is the bathtub and shower also loacated outside. We've stayed at a lot of resorts that can be categorized as luxury but everything in the villa was of good quality, no corners were cut and everything felt like someone had built the place to the highest standards to live there themselves and not like trying to have the most luxorious feel and look for the cheapest price. Pool was probably the cleanest we saw during our 15 day stay on the island, and everything inside the villa was spotles as well. Resort has a small and cozy restaurant that has tables on two floors located by the reception building and food there was delicious. Breakfast was not served in the restaurant but brought to our room and we could enjoy it in privacy by the pool. You can also order dinner to your villa and we even had nice balinese couples massage on our own terrace. They have few cars you can hire to take you to ubud and back for free or for a longer trip and the cars are spacious, new and clean. The cost for longer trips is little more than you would pay for a random gojek driver but the extra price is absolutely worth it for the quality of the service. But what really is the best part about the resort is the people. The resort isn't that big so you quickly become familiar with the staff and almost everyone spoke clearly better than average english. When arriving or coming back from a walk the staff greeted us with "welcome home" that sounded cheesy branding attempt but it grew on us quickly and when it was time to check out it really felt like leaving your friends and family behind. We had many delightful conversations and members of the staff weren't shy when telling us about local customs and traditions and were so kind to share about themselves and what it is to live like on the island. Truly a privilege and learnt a ton while also made new friends. Local people are kind and polite in general but the staff at the resort were few steps ahead. We checked out but we never left. Matur suksma to everyone at...

𝐔𝐛𝐮𝐝’𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐦: 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭

Our stay at Purana Boutique Resort was nothing short of exceptional!

𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with the warm hospitality that Bali is known for - but the staff at Purana took it to another level.

From the generous direct booking offer to the in-room check-in process and the heartfelt “welcome back home” every time we entered the hotel, every detail made us feel like valued guests.

The entire team was genuinely warm, incredibly attentive, and always ready to go above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable.

𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗯𝘂𝗱

The resort itself is a peaceful oasis, seamlessly blending traditional Balinese charm with modern luxury. Our villa was spacious and beautifully designed, featuring a private pool, an outdoor bathroom - the perfect setting to unwind after a day of exploring.

The attention to detail was evident in everything: the tasteful décor, the uber comfortable beds draped in elegant mosquito nets, and the high-quality linens that made every night’s sleep a dream.

We also loved the location - secluded and tranquil, yet just a short drive from Ubud’s vibrant center. The resort offers a complimentary shuttle service, allowing easy exploration of the area while always returning to a serene retreat.

𝗘𝘅𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

Every meal at Purana was a delight! Breakfast was freshly prepared to order, with a wide selection catering to different tastes. Each dish was beautifully presented, crafted with local, high-quality ingredients, and packed with flavor.

One of the most memorable moments was our in-villa dining experience - savoring a delicious meal by our private pool, was pure bliss.

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗷𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The in-room spa treatments were another highlight. The skilled therapists provided a truly rejuvenating and relaxing experience, allowing us to fully unwind in the comfort of our villa.

𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗻𝗱

When it was time to leave, we genuinely wished we had booked more nights.

Purana Boutique Resort is perfect for couples, honeymooners, or anyone seeking a luxurious yet intimate escape in Ubud. If you’re looking to relax in a private pool villa, enjoy world-class service, and experience Bali’s renowned hospitality, this is the place to be.

“Serene, laidback, and welcoming”

Let me break it down to you. Fyi, I was a solo traveler and staying here for 3 nights in One bedroom private Villa. My primary reason staying here was to complete my workdays before my following days off. Btw, Nonik was assisted me a lot pre check-in. She was very warm!

**Pick up at the airport and check in.

Pak Komang was the person who met me at the airport and picked me up. I could tell from the moment I met him that this resort is a very welcome, warm, and friendly environment. Check-in went smoothly, and the best aspect about my villa was how personalized it was, with my name card adorned with flowers. I was at ease.

**During Stay

The personnel is really attentive, and they went out of their way to help you. I received assistance in arranging for the rental of a motorcycle.

You could be a full version of yourself in the villa because it is really private. They supplied me a gallon of water and some kitchen utensils from the pantry. If you ask ahead of time, they may be able to provide a stove. The only flaw was the lack of Wifi. It was simply unpredictably unexpected. Sometimes it was good, but most of the time it was terrible. The personnel, on the other hand, was quite helpful, and they were given this criticism to help them improve.

Anyway, the bed was really comfortable, but be prepared for a swarm of insects. They were all over the place. Even though the bed had a net, it was not particularly useful. Haha… So be ready and pack your own mosquito repellent...

The bathtub was functional, if not outstanding. However, it was nice to be able to unwind after a full day of seeing Ubud.

Another good thing was the pool. It was pretty large, and I was able to practice my free diving and snorkeling there. After 5 p.m., they turned off the pool's water circulation. As a result, you'll enjoy a pretty calm night, so shoot...

**Check out and drop off

I was asked to be dropped off in Sanur Harbour on the last day of my vacation. Again, the staff was quite helpful in arranging it. They made a quick breakfast to take with them (only 2 eggs, water, and some toasted bread). Pak Komang had brought me again, and he was talkative. Check-out went without a hitch.

Overall, it was a relaxing vacation for me, and I was able to complete some tasks despite the terrible internet... Without a doubt, I will return with my partner...
