I was invited to write a review, so here I am after returning home.
At first, I was surprised and shocked to see some of the older negative reviews online, but honestly, they must have improved a lot since then because my stay was a very good one.
First of all: A PLUS POINT !!!!! TO HIGHLIGHT! The bed is AMAZING. Probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. I actually regret not spending more time just resting in the room! TRUST ME ON THIS! This is the MAGIC of Radha Phala Resort & Spa.
The resort has everything under one roof, the spa, pool (yes, the pool water is clean now), and a restaurant that’s open from morning until night. Looking back, I wish I had slowed down my sightseeing a little and spent more time just recharging here. If your focus is on recharging and resting, I would definitely recommend staying here.
The restaurant staff were always warm and welcoming, even though we didn’t speak exactly the same language. The ones I remember are Restiti, and I think the others were Ebi and Febri (hope I got that right, because I didn’t ask their names, I got them from Restiti). They were always friendly and made me feel at home.
The reception team deserves a special mention. During my stay, I mostly met three men (my first 2 days and another man on my 3rd day) and one lady (on my third day) at the front desk. All of them were not only professional but also genuinely charming, friendly, and easy to talk to. Honestly, they left me with a great impression. On my last day, the lady at reception felt a bit strict, i think it is because maybe the others were too kind, warm, and charming, so the comparison was obvious. Overall, everyone else was genuinely nice.
so the cons is: The location might not be strategically in the city centre of Ubud, but everything is good with e-hailing. They do provide shutter service, but i didnt use it i travel by e-hailing , Grabbike / Gojek。
While The room itself was spacious and comfortable, It can be a little noisy if the connecting room has loud guests, but during my stay it was peaceful.
The shower water doesn't look clean, maybe i was just sensitive.
Overall, I enjoyed my time at Radha Phala Resort & Spa, and I truly appreciate the hospitality of both the restaurant staff and the reception team. So still a 5 Stars!
Definitely, I will return...
Read moreFirst off - the staff were great, very friendly and made staying with baby very easy.
Overall, we were out and about doing a lot of activities so we didn't spend too much time at the resort except for breakfast and sleeping. The breakfast is actually quite good - better than the lunch/dinner menu! The pool is also decent, however needs more signage around depth, and the towels to be used there are old and stained.
Now the disappointing part is the room. Keeping in mind that this isn't exactly luxury accommodation, still - the rooms are dated, and a bit sad. The wooden furniture is old, and worn. The AC in our room had to be kept on to keep things cool, if we turned it off it took a very long time for the room to be cooled again. The bathrooms though - had mould, very dark 80s/90s tiling, smelled, and again the wooden fixtures are worn out. The shower head looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. I'd say the rooms need a full refurbishment.
The location is also away from the main strip which is quiet, but also means getting a Go-jek every time you want to go out, which isn't exactly expensive, but adds time and hassle and sometimes they getbatuxj in traffic.
So TL;DR - lovely staff, but doesn't make up for the low quality of the rooms....
Read moreI had made a reservation for two nights at this hotel, but there was a mix-up, and I ended up staying for only six hours to catch a flight. I requested a refund in the morning, but the hotel declined, and I accepted their decision. However, as I was leaving, they asked to check the room, which added stress to my already tight schedule. Later, they accused me of taking the insect spray from the room and asked me to check my bags and return it. I found this behaviour disgraceful, especially considering that I had paid $140 for only six hours of stay. They blamed me for stealing their $1 mosquito spray, which was absurd. this hotel lacks basic hospitality and customer service.
There isn't much to do around the hotel, and it's quiet as it's away from the Ubud centre. Also noticed that I don't think no one was staying at this place which makes sense. The stuff barely speak English and communication is hard but when they ask for lost mosquito spray they...
