Another one of my go-to places in Ubud. Japanese dishes are my comfort foods and so happy to have found this place. It's hidden in a residential area. The gate is closed at all times because of their dogs. Dishes are cooked by a lovely Japanese lady and the taste is authentic. I ordered the natto oroshi soba and it was so delicious, fresh, and healing for my stomach. I loved the combination of natto, grated daikon, fresh green onions, and okra with a side of wasabi. I've never had this combo before, the natto and okra went real well together. I appreciate the quality and freshness of this place. Most dishes on the menu are Japanese comfort foods. I should mention that natto (Japanese fermented soybeans) is an acquired taste. It has a slimey consistency like okra. we ordered hiyashichuka 10/10 aji furai 9/10 dorayaki 5/10 (sorry, the dough was very dry) mochi, redbeans and matcha ice cream 9/10 bintang and water
there are some foods on their menu I rarely see in other japanese restaurant, its like japanese home cooking, and i saw in google the ingredients are quite authentic i saw some Japanese guests are eating there too
they also give free little portion of side dish
i wish they will make the place more bigger for the future
