Rama Gaia Villa Ubud — Hotel in Pulau Bali

We stayed a week in the beautiful Rama Gaia Villa of Frank and Gaye.

TL;DR: It was awesome/overwhelming, the villa is luxurious and modern, the service including the breakfast is very good and Frank and Gaye as host are kind, delightful and helpful.

Arrival: The arrival was super easy - the communication for the arrival was easy and without any problems. We took a grab to the accommodation and found it immediately. As soon as we arrived there, Gaye warmly welcomed us and gave us a short tour through the our room of the villa. She was very kind and introduced the staff which will clean the room. The staff is very kind as well. We have quickly taken both into our hearts.

Room/Villa: Inside the Villa is a separate room for the guests (currently in the second floor). The room and private pool are even more beautiful and luxurious than in the pictures. We were very amazed and surprised. It is very tastefully decorated and includes everything you need for your stay. It is very modern and new.

Service: The staff daily cleaned the room and provided fresh towels. Fresh flowers and blossoms are sometimes arranged. You can see that the staff is very happy to do it. Every morning there is fresh breakfast and tea/coffee. Both are of high quality and we enjoyed them every day.

Host (Frank & Gaye): We talked to them every day, always courteous but never pushy. It was very nice, friendly and cordial at all times. No matter if you need a good restaurant or a scooter - they helped us immediately and gave some tips. We wish them (and the staff) only the very best and would be happy to see them again.

Minor minus point: If there are two of you and someone has to go to the bathroom, it's a little hard with privacy. But one can wait in the time on...

This villa is the best of Bali with western comforts! I will definitely recommend to book without hesitation . We stayed in 5 other places during our trip and this was our favourite! The pictures cannot do it justice! This was the perfect start to my trip, i loved it so much I returned at the end of my trip to finish it off! When returning it felt like coming home!

The villa is extremely private, clean, spacious yet cosy. It is luxurious and beautiful. The room is well equipped, bed comfortable, ample seating, ample plug sockets fitting various adapter types, great shower. There is a water machine providing hot and cold water! Smart tv with netflix, prime, etc. good wifi also. The pool area is beautiful.

Dewa is a great, thoughtful host, its his home and you can see the pride and thought put into it! Examples of thoughtfulness and being accommodating - adding a chair to dressing table area without being asked after seeing my makeup setup, storing our luggage for us until we return. Jercho’s (sorry if I’ve spelt it wrong) omelettes and breakfast smoothies are so tasty!

Its set in a beautiful village area surrounded by green and only a 10/15 min drive from the centre! They have a driver available at reasonable rates, grab cars are also available.

Also Dewa gives you fantastic recommendations of places to go eat and was thoughtful enough to even dig out halal recommendations for us!

It was really sad to actually leave and it felt like Dewa and co had become our bAli family!! I can’t wait to return one day, hopefully sooner than later! Thank you for helping make our trip...

The entire Rama Gaia staff was a class act—professional, gracious, and always attentive without being intrusive. Every interaction felt personal and genuine.

What stood out most was the carefully curated experience that Rama Gaia offers. You can feel the passion and love that has gone into creating this extraordinary retreat. Whether you’re lounging in your private villa or exploring the nearby wonders of Ubud, you feel both completely relaxed and utterly spoiled.
