Unfortunately we had an awful experience here. The suites are aged. There are pest control issues. Altogether we felt uncomfortable with issues occurring daily. We spent a total of 6 hours with the staff over repairs, cleaning and pest removal over a 3 night stay. More details: On our first night we found 4 lizards in the room. The staff brought a spray to handle it. A wasp flew in while they worked on the lizards. They sprayed the pillow to kill it - a spray that has written on the bottle that it shouldn’t come in contact with skin. We identified a hole in the bathroom window screen which the lizards were coming through. Below the screen, there was lizard poop. We found it to be unsanitary and uncomfortable. The staff was informed. They wanted to wait until the next day to fix it. The next morning, we again asked staff to clean the room and fix the screen while we were out. We returned at 2pm - neither had been fixed. We called staff again and they came. However, we weren’t able to rest while they fixed it and left for our next activity before they were done. Upon returning at night, we found 50+ dead flying insects in our room. The repair staff had left the lights on, curtains open & door slightly ajar which drew them all in. We wanted to rest, however we had to ask staff to clean it up and waited for an hour for them to do so. The following morning we left at 2am for a sunrise hike. We returned at 10am and found a puddle caused by the leaking A/C. My husband’s clothes, shoes and luggage were wet, incl. an expensive pair of dress shoes. Again we called staff to have it fixed and cleaned, a 2 hr ordeal - more time we had planned to rest. We spoke to the manager to ask for reparations. He wanted to use Airbnb as a mediator for the issue. For context, we are on our honeymoon. We would have liked to enjoy our stay, but instead we lost time and sleep dealing with issues, communicating with staff about these issues, and talking and thinking about how to handle the issues. And while the staff were relatively quick to respond, I would have hoped not to come across these problems in the first place. We later stayed at a slightly more upscale private pool suite in Ubud and did not have any problems. The only pros I found were the delicious breakfasts and the...
Read moreWe stayed at Sayan terrace for a week and we absolutely fell in love with the place . The view from our room was unbelievable. It looks exactly like the pictures. The room itself was very clean. We stayed in heaven suite 2 and the infinity shared pool was right beside our room. Breakfast was included and I can honestly say we enjoyed it every single morning , you get plenty of choice and you receive fresh watermelon juice and a small fruit platter every time. You can also rent a scooter from the reception which costs 70,000 IDR (€4.50) for a day. I got a message on our last night which was so relaxing and what’s even better is the fact that they come to you room so you don’t have to go anywhere and the massage costs only 200,000 - 300,000 IDR ( €13 -€19) !! The location is pretty great too, it’s only 5-10min drive on a scooter from Ubud centre . I would definitely come back here next time...
Read moreWe stayed at Sayan Terrace for 2 nights. It has a great idea giving all the guests to experience a private pool with a nice view to the mountains, but unfortunately the cleanliness of the place isn’t their priority. There was mold on the walls (painted over), mold on the drying rack. The first batch of towels were provided smelled like they were damp and sour. We asked to replace them. The new ones were the same. After telling about a bad smell, they brought us new ones with perfume sprayed all around unsuccessfully covering the sour smell of dirty towels(!) really?? I so wanted to go ask to show me how they clean the towels. It’s can’t be hard if you clean them and dry them! It is very bad for a hotel that charges more that $100 per night! Breakfast didn’t have fresh fruit as they said on the menu, the fruit was old or not ripe 2 mornings in a row.
I don’t recommend this place. It’s not...
