Read moreMy wife and I came here for our last night in Ubud - I’ll be honest, we were originally looking for a pizza/pasta restaurant but one in central was fully booked. We decided we would try Gioja, knowing it would be more expensive but hopefully delicious and worth it…it was. Located in Penestanan, Gioja sits by the beautiful paddy fields. Scooter ride is an excellent choice of transportation to get there.
Gioja is an Italian word for joy or delight. It was a heavenly dining experience over a 4 course Italian menu. Chef Daniele recommendation of steak tartar wagyu, 24 layer lasagna (a delicious vegan dish) or ravioli, charcoal black cod and summer coming was a perfect feast.
The restaurant atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The staff are friendly and attentive. The acoustic performance exceptionally suits for the occasion.
They have a superb wine selection to compliment your dining experience. The A la carte menu option is also available.
Thank you Chef Daniele Taddeo and Gioja team for the amazing culinary journey. See...
