Sayan Valley — Restaurant in Bali

My wife and I went for diner a bit later around 7pm-ish. we were warmly welcomed by the security and escorted to the bar by the hostess from lobby. Widi, the floor supervisor, welcome us and introduced with their nicely curated tapas and drinks menu. The view is breathtaking with calm, private and romantic atmosphere. We had Fanshi Colada and Ikigai sour from their cocktail menu, both are very well balance with a unique twist of the classics. We had Corn fritter as a starter and followed with Iga Panggang & Beef Rendang. All the food matches very well with the cocktail and cooked to perfection. We really enjoy our time there while Widi beautifully take care of us while also handling other table with a very professional way also Komang, the bartender, came to the table also to explain the drinks, we didnt even had time to take picture since the service was perfectly done. My only regret was we didn’t come earlier to see the beautiful sunset view but we definitely will come back to try the other food & the cocktails from their menu, and of course for the spectacular view they have. We have planned to come to sayan valley the previous time but it was tourist high season and we didn't know about reservation and turns out it was full.

This time we come and it was raining, so we were lucky to get a seat without reservation. The service from the welcoming staff, to the lobby staff and even the waitress were perfect and really professional.

Our waitress, Babblo was very friendly and helpful, meeting our expectations on service part. The drinks and snacks were amazing, pricepoint it was decent tourist area price. Combine with the view (unfortunately it was raining and cloudy) its really amazing. And will definitely come back again next time to enjoy the clear sunset view.

Bit of a ripoff — I came here to support local business in my area, but left feeling like it didn’t know how to provide value for money.

Yes the place is beautiful and the view is a perfect sunset spot, but menu items are priced for elevated dining and fail to deliver.

It’s fine if your chef is only capable of mid tier cooking, but then adjust your menu pricing to match. Based on what we received, I would’ve paid half of what the bill came to.

To be more specific, the portions are small for the price, and the presentation and flavours very pedestrian. Meaning that I could have the same dish at a much more humble and inexpensive restaurant.

I suggest either improving the dishes or reducing the price point to avoid...
