Everything about this place was fantastic! The place was so aesthetically pleasing, and the staff were most accommodating. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is huge. Modern fixtures surround an elegant courtyard. I am in love with my stay there. We were also welcomed with a very cute towel elephant! The place was very clean and all amenities were great including the strong wifi which was free.
The logical downside however, being situated in the tropics is that there tends to be a few mosquitoes in the room. However they are quite slow and easy to catch so that's no big deal at all. The taste of the foods were okay, the prices were decent too, the services (in general) were great, you could either choose indoor or outdoor seating (terrace and backyard). Read moreDe Mier is a small, chic, and super lovely guesthouse in Surabaya. The room was excellent, the staff (especially Mas Heri) were responsive and friendly, and the breakfast was provided by the De Mier cafe on the 1st floor. Their food was super delicious, and the Es Beras Kencur for my welcome drink was perfect. I have an enjoyable stay here and will consider this place for another round of stay in Surabaya.
