It's a nice 3 star hotel for stay. About 10 -15 mins walk from the Maliboro mall. The boys at the Reception desk are great and very helpful, always giving good advice and the best information. A few points which brought some disappointment during my stay is that during breakfast time some people were smoking inside the restaurant which was very uncomfortable ☹ and also by the lady at the Reception desk in black polo shirt on 18 Oct in the morning when ask information about Merapi view point she told me that I need to go Kali Adem which will be the best place to have the view and should take online transport to reach the place as there are no bus to reach the area. When ask again to make sure as someone earlier I.e a day before told me that the Merapi view point could be reach by bus she again confidently told me that the place is Kali Adem. So took the Grab for Rp 68.000 to reach there. Once reached there after more than 50 mins, the place was not as it was expected at all and there an old person I met told me that to reach the point called Bunker there will be Rp 50.000 extra. I also noticed that there were no transport to go back to the hotel from the area and that needed to go to Bakum Paker to get an online transport informed by the old man which will cost Rp 50.000 more 😳. When reach to Banker infact it was there that people who do the lava tour get there. There was really nothing to see at Banker . After having a look the old man brought me to the place where I could get an online tranport to reach the hotel I was staying which if course cost me Rp 70.000 more when I checked on the intnet later I was then aware that the young girl wearing black polo shirt at the Reception desk sent me to the wrong place. My WHOLE DAY WAS WASTED and can't figure as the tour was mention on the sharing tour proposals. It was very disappointing of her. Otherwise food during breakfast was nice with the varities the...

Read more+Stayed for 22 nights at this homestay/hotel while visiting Yogyakarta. A good location for getting around town and it is on a fairly quiet residential street. The hotel itself is tucked back from the street so it feels quiet and private. +Good value for the money and I would stay again. It feels very home-like here. +Quiet, comfortable, clean. A basic, good sized room with good lighting. Good wifi even at peak usage. At night there are plenty of lights in the room, including the bathroom. +Good water pressure in shower with hot water +Comfortable bed, but no blanket unless you request one (probably saves a lot of laundry costs) +Plenty of outlets throughout the room. No kettle or refrigerator, but hot and cold water dispenser available in the common area. Since I was staying so long I went out to one of the department stores (Toko Progo) and bought a $6 electric kettle for my room. +Friendly, helpful staff. Turn in the room key to the office by 14:00 for room cleaning (a good system) +Good buffet breakfast with plenty of options +Quiet room and nice private balcony with chairs and cafe table and a drying rack +Indomart and SuperIndo grocery store not too far away +Able to arrange transportation to other areas for reasonable cost by way of Grab +Nice affordable pizza place on site that also serves coffee drinks
-Rooms could use a little updating, but mostly it is fine for the price -Call to prayer speaker is somewhere very close and is very loud at 4:30 in the morning (bring earplugs) -No kettle or refrigerator -Unfortunately many people smoking (guests and staff) and makes it unpleasant when sitting on balcony and trying to...
