RedDoorz near Pojok Beteng Prawirotaman — Hotel in Yogyakarta

gladly I will tell you how was my experience: terrible.

After checking in in the reception using Google translator because the person almost did not speak any English, we entered in our room and we saw two salamander running around. I told the man in the reception that we want another room and he said that this is not possible because they were full. Was late in the night and would have been a mess to try to find another hotel in Jakarta so we told de man that we wanted the salamanders out of our bedroom. He could manage to take one out but the other did hide and we could not find it so we had to sleep in a room with a salamander inside. This is not everything, the room was really dirty, and the towels, bedsheets and "blanket" had stains and were really old. The hotel had a totally lack of maintenance and it needs a renovation since more than 10 years. And all this with a price that, honestly, is not in the cheap range rices of Yogyakarta. We had 2 nights book but we stayed only one since this was probably one of the worst hotels...

I got an insane discount fare but get pretty much what it deserved. This old hotel currently managed by RedDoorz and the amenities is pretty standard. The blanket material is rather rough. The curtain induces some paranoia since the material is rather transparent from the inside and the length from side to side is kinda skimpy. There is no tissue or telephone provided in the room, therefore you have to go to the receptionist to contact the staffs directly. Quite antique and some photos on this place seems to show the rooms are a bit different to one another--some got bathroom with pretty tiles, while I got typical simple bath with sensitive shower temperature. Nyesel ksni cman nginap 4malam,pdahal tempatnya nyaman bnget, diatas ekspetasi saya trnyata😪 Orangnya ramah, tempatnya adem terasa bnget suasana jogjanya, semuanya oke cman minusnya TV cmn 1 channel nya itupun sering diacak🤣 sama kasurnya itu smuanya model twin, kalopun pesen yg queen pun ya 2 kasur twin digabungin jadi 1 wkwk, alhasil saya susah pelukan sama istri saya karna keganjal kayu/ujung kasur dibgian bawah jdi kurang nyaman🤣 kamar mandi estetik klasik suka bnget, air panas aman. Ada lobby buat santai2 ngopi2 di joglo, free bkin teh distu. Parkiran ddlam mentok2 4 mobil, dluar juga 4 mobil. Akses kmna2 deket, deket gelato, alun2, museum dll. Next kalo ke jogja pasti ksni lgi lah apalagi harganya...
