Borobudur Tours — Local services in Yogyakarta

Contacted the tour operator through xiaohongshu. Replied promptly to all the enquiries with good service. Decided to get the package of sunrise punthuk setumbu, borobudur n prambanan temple, worth IR 650000/car per day. A link to purchase official ticket from borobudur temple was provided, recommended to self purchase 8.30am slot (earliest).

The tour operator arranged for a private driver, however there is a mishap at our beginning of journey, the driver didn't turn up at the agreed time and unable to be contacted. Luckily the tour operator answered our call and attempted to find a solution. The driver then turned up 50 mins later and our tour begin.

Luckily by the time we arrive, we still able to see the sunrise without waiting much. After spending some time there, we were able to visit the chicken church nearby n had our breakfast there. Subsequently, we visited the borobudur temple which was spectacular.

The driver then recommended a local restaurant otw to prambanan, with good Indonesian food. There is a chance to try the coffee luwak nearby if interested. After that we visited the prambanan temple which was very huge. The tour then ended with the driver sending us back to the hotel.

Apart from the earlier mishap, the driver did provide good service and was very friendly.

Can consider booking private car tour with the tour agent if interested for a one day tour of Punthuk setumbu, chicken church, borobudur and...

We engaged Borobudur Tours based on the good google reviews and we were not disappointed. We went for 2 private tours with them, sunrise at setumbu hills and boroburdur and jomblang cave + pindul cave. We had bambang as our guide and driver and had the best time during our 2 trips with him. Bambang was always early to reach our hotel for pick up. During that 2 days, he shared with us a lot of interesting stories about yogja and the places that we are going. In addition to that he’s a really funny guide too so we really had a good time chatting with him in between waiting for our turn at the different places of interest.

We also appreciated the fact that he’s very thoughtful when planning the trip for us based on our preferences. He always went the extra mile to make sure that we got the best out of each tour. He even gave very interesting suggestions for us to consider when we finished our trip early. The vehicle was also very comfortable and he was a very safe driver too

I would highly recommend them to anyone who wishes to go Yogyakata. Thanks for the awesome...

The service was excellent, and he shared a lot about Indonesian history and political views. However, there were a few things we didn't like. He claimed to be a devout Muslim, but why was he tricking tourists into buying civet coffee at such a high price? After I paid for the coffee, why did I see you from a distance, and one of the coffee shop employees seemed to be giving you something? At least you should know what is halal and haram (permissible) if you are a devout Muslim and afraid of sin. I only learned about this system after arriving in Bali. Several tourists there said that after touring Borobudur, they were forced to stop by there. It turns out that if we're not careful, we can be scammed in both...
