AC DO NOT WORK
HOPING SOMEONE CAN HELP BEFORE WE LEAVE!!!!
Im Hoping someone from the Hotel can help me.
We rented 3 rooms for 7 nights beginning on July 3rd and Checking out on July 10th. The reservations are under my wife’s name Mary Almosny.
We checked in on the 3rd after a very long flight very tired.
The AC did not work in 2 our of 2 rooms. Originally our rooms where 418, 419 and 420.
That night we had 3 separate AC technicians come and check the AC and they all told us to give it 30 - 45 minutes each time - so that night of July the 3rd we wasted 2-3 hours hours and the ACs did not work at all.
My kids in room 418 did not sleep at all and neither did we in room 419 - the room was very hot - it was too hot the passage to the room was significantly cooler.
In the morning of July 4th, we came down let the lobby know of the problem and were told they would have it fixed by the time we arrived, we spoke to Moti that morning.
When we returned at around 4 pm on July 4th - the problem was not solved - we asked to move our kids from the worst AC room 418 - so they did to 421.
Again to recap room 419 the AC did not work either. But we gave it the chance again for Moti and the technician to resolve. After another 3 hours of waiting and waiting in the lobby at 7 pm I dediced to speak to someone who looked like a manager sitting in the lobby working on a computer. His name is Nimrod.
He told me they would fix it asap and he would go over it.
After another hour - with no solution I did not want to have another night where the room is too hot to sleep and told Nimrod Ï needed 2 new rooms for that night.
To recap - I spent 3 hours waiting in the 3rd no solution and 4 of us could not sleep at night. Then another 4 hours on July 4th.
The front desk was a total mess. When Moti took us up to see other rooms - my only requirement was that the AC was blowing COLD in the rooms.
We found room 330 which is cold and room 322 - but before that he took us to 3 different rooms in the 4th floor in order to remain together - but what he thought would be clean ready rooms where eitheir occupied of very hot as well so we wasted another 30-60 minutes.
That is 8 hours of our vacation wasted to far in 2 days - because of hotel issues - not really ok at all.
We changed rooms another time as I mentioned to rooms 322, 330 and kept 420 that was find from the beginning.
So another packing into the suitcase and moving for a 2nd time.
OK so last night room 330 had no issues - works well my kids slept well BUT room 330 where my wife and I sleep the AC works BUT it turns off every 1-2 hours - I woke up 3 times in the middle of the night sweating with no AC in the Tel Aviv summer - and did not sleep again.
I spoke to Nimrod this morning early at around 7-8 am when I left the room after not sleeping told him of the problem - he texted someone and I left for a day trip outside of Tel Aviv.
I arrived at night and the AC in my room was off - same as it happened last night - so I know nothing changed.
I am very disappointed in the fact that we had to 1) not be able to sleep when we paid for good hotels rooms at the Opera and 2) wasted so far 8+ hours of our vacation because of the issue and STILL dont have 3 good rooms.
I think it is very unprofessional from the everybody involved to allow this to happen KNOWING the problem exists because we told...
Read moreMy wife and I recently stayed at this hotel, attracted by its beautiful rooms and fantastic location right across from a lovely beach. While the hotel itself is well-appointed and ideally situated, our overall experience was unfortunately marred by several incidents and the staff's unprofessional behavior.
Firstly, we experienced a significant noise disturbance from a neighboring room that was hosting a loud party. Despite reporting this issue to the reception twice, it took hours for them to address the situation, and we were even woken up again at 3 AM by the continued noise.
Adding to our disappointment, our complaint email to the hotel management was met with complete silence. This lack of responsiveness further highlights the unprofessionalism we encountered during our stay.
Moreover, while trying to relax by the hotel pool, we witnessed a guest bringing a dog to the area, which subsequently urinated near the pool. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, our concerns were once again dismissed, and no action was taken to clean up the mess.
The staff at this hotel seems utterly unprepared to handle guest complaints and appears disinterested in providing a satisfactory experience. Many of them also seem to have poor English skills, making communication even more difficult.
In summary, while this hotel boasts beautiful rooms and a superb location, our stay was severely impacted by the unprofessional and unresponsive staff. It is disappointing to see such potential wasted, and we would hesitate to recommend this hotel to others unless significant improvements are made in staff training and responsiveness to...
Read moreWe booked the Herbert Samuel Opera for the week before a family wedding planned for October 9. It's a lovely, comfortable, relatively small hotel in a wonderful location. We had room with a balcony overlooking the beach.||||The amenities and breakfast buffet are not the reason I'm writing this review though. I'm writing because we were in this hotel at the time of the October 7 Hamas attack and stayed there until we departed Israel on October 12. The hotel staff maintained an atmosphere of normalcy and calm every day. Everyone from the room attendants to the barista to the receptionists continued doing their jobs in a totally professional manner. When United Airlines cancelled all its Israel flights and left thousands of travelers frantically scrambling for alternative arrangements, the hotel did everything humanly possible to maintain continuity of service and a sense of normalcy. I was honestly moved by the staff's professionalism and humanity. Many of the staff were refugees from other countries, including Ukraine, but they somehow showed up for work and did their jobs.||||In particular, there was a man at the front desk named Moti S. I think he was an assistant manager. He was so kind and accommodating, I literally still can't believe it. All of our friends who were also staying at the hotel had to change their plans, and he took all the stress out of the process. To say I was deeply impressed and appreciative is an...
