Great spot to sunbathe during the day and skinny-dip at nighttime! The beach is a super popular spot for surfers just off to the left of the end of the walkway leading over to Jaffa. On a good day they sit waiting for the “next wave” to go. Of course from another perspective it looks exactly like California Surfing-seriously. But at the waters edge it’s an easy low grade leveled surface area on the sand below. Not very deep. So shallow at times in good weather, that it’s uncanny how far out one can wade from before going into deeper waters to swim. There are no abrupt cross currents or invisible chasms present and it’s stunningly beautiful all the time. Amazing. Crystal clear bluish-green hues, and...

Aviv Beach, also known as Royal Beach (because of the hotel) is a great beach. There is a lifeguard there during summer, and free facilities for showers and toilets (most have already finished construction and renovation). You are not allowed to bring glass bottles to the beach - so be aware (there is a havy fine). It will be smart to be prepared and buy stuff like beer, fruits, water, sunscreen ahead (it will be less expensive than buying it near the beach). And don't just go to the water and leave your...

Gorgeous beach - busy but still with plenty of space. Lovely calm waters with gentle waves, and a lifeguard on duty throughout the day for added security - the beach is popular with adults and families alike. You can rent chairs, umbrellas and sun loungers using the self-service machines near the entrance; two loungers and an umbrella will set you back 40NIS. Showers, bathrooms and a bar are within a 2 minute walk of the beachfront (I believe there is table service although we couldn’t work out...

Fascinating place for the sunsets & sunrises in the heart of Tel Aviv. There are several cafes around to enjoy the sunset, the running and biking trail to do sports, the wheelchair ACCESS to the beach, the dogs pool 300 meters away at the Dog's beach, the washing systems to drink water and to wash yourself after the sea, the lockers, the restrooms and the changing rooms. There is also a nice part on the hillside for the sunset lovers to enjoy the view over the bay and the sun at the same time.

Wow! My absolutely favorite place in Tel Aviv to watch the sunset. Of course it gets quite crowded, especially during Shabbat, but holidays are the same everywhere. During the work week is absolutely fine and you can easily find a spot at the beach. Also renting a sun bed and an umbrella is quite cheap compare to everything else in Israel. Just use the automatic machine next to the bar. From Aviv beach it take only 20 mins walk along the coastline to Old Jaffa.
