We had an awful experience in this place with a friend of mine, the service was really bad and the waiter shouted on us because we didn’t want to give him a tip. We were going to have a drink and a fast snack in this “restaurant” and wanted to seat at the table, not in the sand. The waiter said that this place is for people who is ordering food and we “can’t occupy it because we ordered just watermelon and coffee” which was not really nice because the place was empty and we said that we are here only for 20 mins. We changed the table. After we asked for a bill, the waiter twice asked us how much money we are going to give him in a really persistently way. We didn’t want to do it , but after his “request” were 100% sure that we are not going to leave him a tip. When we were leaving the place he ran after us screaming that we haven’t leaved him a tip, we explained him why, but he started to shout that we awful people and continued to insult us. I asked to call a manager and he said “go found him somewhere there”. I talked with a girl who said that she is the manager of the place but I’m almost sure that she isn’t, she behaved not like the administrator of the restaurant saying that “it’s his only money, yes, probably it’s your choice to give tip or not, but...” No apologies for his behavior, nothing... To the owner of the place, pay normal salary to your staff and educate them how to treat guests in the restaurant. We are not...

Food: When one puts nachos on the menu, that should conjure a beautiful mental image of melted cheese on a beautiful plate of chips (preferably homemade, they aren't that hard), with maybe some of the vegetable toppings you'll find in the most basic restaurant anywhere. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. From my picture they served me chips that were the cheap Israeli version of Doritos with some (disgusting) guacamole, and salsa on the side. It comes off as lazy.
Service: The server didn't really come that often, and it was hard to get her attention. When we tried to send the lazy nachos back, she told me she had to get the manager. This took another 20 minutes. When I said I just wanted them canceled and some olives, it took another 20 minutes for OLIVES. With the tip, we paid in card and were going to tip in cash. When we told her not to add anything on the bill she got upset and made a remark to the effect, "Is that all?". I am a great tipper, I was literally inclined to tip less once she said this. I believe servers are way underpaid, and tip should always be customary, but this was uncalled for.
But the beer and the beach were good!
The only reason they get one star is that the atmosphere is good and the beer is tasty. Other than...
Read moreVery different. We were there 2 following evenings for dinner. On the first eve we had a very pleasant experience. The waitress was very kind and charming. Food was nice. My wife had a salad and NZ white wine. I had a burger and beer. Prices are high but that's Tel Aviv on the beach. I was happy to give tip. On the second night we had a different waitress, reluctant to serve us, unfriendly and rude. She had an argument with one of her colleagues before and was in very bad mood. No smile when she asked us for our meals, not asking if we would like to have more drinks. When we wanted to check, we had to ask another waitr to call her. Fife minutes later she appeared and asked for 15% tip. She was very surprised as I told her to I do tip only for a good service and asked for the exact change. So altogether 4 stars for the first and 1 star for the second evening, gives 2.5. Food was okay on the second day btw, but ruined by the...
