The utmost rude and terrible service experience I've ever had! I and my wife have actually used to visit this place quite often for the last couple of years. Yes, we knew that this place is basically a tourist trap, overpriced with decent food at best. Yet we liked this place for its location, its vibe and atmosphere, so sometimes we would find ourselves seating there over a glass of wine or beer, sometimes paired with a bowl of French fries or adamame. However the last time was just terrible. We've order a pint of Goldstar beer and a bottle of Castile, were seating there for about hour and a half or two. Our waitress showed only once about twenty minutes after we got our drinks and we haven't seen after that. When we decided to order the bill nobody came to us - she did not showed up (even though we had to waive our hands a couple of times) and the rest of the personnel ignored us. So eventually we had to go ourselves to the cash desk inside, look for our waitress and pay the bill inside (btw 74 shekels for the 2 beers!). Nothing too terrible happened, but I don't think that self service requires tips, so we didn't pay any (you can argue about this, but I believe that tips are voluntary and the service I got wasn't worth it, btw it's really rare that I don't pay tips). On our way out (I've waited for another minute for my wife to get back from the restroom) the waitress stopped us and informed us in a very assertive way that we haven't paid her tip. I explained her that the service I received wasn't worth it and she started yelling at me that the tip is mandatory. I replied that there's no such thing, and tips are paid according to the service I receive. She continued yelling at us, demanding her tip as we walked away and his last "wish" was literally to "shove these 7 shekels up your arse". It was a terrible, rude and very uncomfortable experience. I don't think that such a rude and unpleasant person should work anywhere nearby people service and we won't get back to this place as long as such person...
Read moreJust had the most horrible experience at La Mer. My wife was having an emergency due to a « medical condition » while walking our dog this morning and she had to go to the bathroom and couldn’t hold it ten more seconds. We had no choice but going to La Mer’s toilets that were open as the staff was getting the place ready for the day. One of the staff went furious after I told him that my wife had to go and explained why she couldn’t wait because of her condition that requires not to be under stress. The fact that he was upset about it is not the problem, but he started to yell at me and stormed into the women’s bathroom (!!!) and screamed at her and yelled, while she was using the bathroom. He was banging at the door and screaming. And when she left the toilets he kept yelling at her face and cornered her. How can anyone behave this way? My wife is not Israeli yet (in the process) and just did a volunteer program from Canada to help preparing food for the soldiers in Gaza and picking up vegetables for the agriculture in the South, so she is not just here as a tourist! She is as I speak in tears and traumatized by this and doesn’t understand how anyone can scream this way on the top of his lung and enter the...
Read moreI wanted to seat with my family for a breackfast with champane as i have birthday today at the table with soft pillows. And sofa. Two of three tables with pillows and sofas were without reservation mark. I asked 2 people from your stuff if it is possible for 4 of us to seat. We’ve got the approval as we wanted to buy a bottle of champane and have breakfast. After we seat and got menu after 5 minutes came one of the managers and in very rude manner asked us to change the table. Despite my birthday and that we wanted to stay not more then an hour we were made to change the table. Finally we moved to the nearby table, had breakfast, the table with soft pillows and sofa was empty during our breakfast. The same was for the 2 tables like this. When we were leaving i told manager who made us to change the table that it is wierd as all the table are still empty. Manager replyied that those tables are for “big people” and if i disagree i can write to the owner, William. William, hope you are reading this, you should read something about customer experience, it effects your business a lot. Moreover this is the first time i am meeting with term “big...
