President Park Hotel — Hotel in Aci Castello

I gave this hotel 2 stars it should have been 4 but for the following….when we arrived it was beautiful…wonderful views quite,checked it quickly ok ..we had booked with friends and family as it was for my daughters wedding so needed a bit of time to relax before the big day…the first day was brilliant stayed at the pool chilled …the staff were very friendly the room amazing with beautiful views from the balcony…breakfast was really good …then all hell broke loose with 180 kids with their families from Malta on a football tournament in Sicily…the whole pool was taken over by them ,playing football around the pool throwing small water bottles around…one nearly hit us ….their parents didn’t seem to care ….they were there nearly the whole day until there tournament started…we complained to the hotel …only to be told that they are just kids enjoying themselves and what can they’re do ….very bad response to that ….truly surprised at the response,next morning about 5 or 6 am ….the kids knocked on all the room doors then ran…we complained again…this time said they would look into it ….but happened the next morning so it wasn’t looked into it ….we never used the pool again as was over run by them …we went to another hotel where some of our family were staying to use there pool ….taxi ride 50 euros. It’s a shame because this hotel is beautiful but if we knew that they booked 180 kids and families we would have not gone there …we managed to get some money off our stay there ..but we had to haggle until I started speaking in Italian ( as I’m Italian) and said a few home truths about the hotel May be the management should consider about making the guests happy and comfortable and relaxed rather then making money ….shame it’s such a beautiful place and the staff are wonderful….if you decide to go make sure there’s no hooligans there…l...

Whilst this was a very nice hotel in regards to the staff and the excellent level of treatment from them. There were big issues with the air-con.

At one point it was roasting, then after brining this to staff attention, a member from the front desk came to our room and sorted it. To our delight we had some cool air. However there was no way to change the gauge and by night time it was like an ice box in the room and we had to take out all the covers from the cupboard to keep warm.

The only way to stop it from being so cold was to turn everything off via the main switch, which meant all the electricity goes off in the room too.

Unfortunately we were not the only ones who had this issue as the guests in the room next door said the same thing was going on with them.

Otherwise food was delicious, the seafood pasta dishes were my favourite.

This is a lovely out the way hotel, if you want to get about when in Sicily you will need to use the shuttle or order a taxi. However the marina is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel and once down there you will find a few restaurants an other shops. Generally a nice place to relax.

If not for being either too hot or too cold at night owing to the faulty air conditioning system, I would have given this place the full amount of stars. Unfortunately that frustrated what was supposed to be a lovely little...

I was here for a week, and I can’t remember ever having a Beyer hotel experience. The rooms here are spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed. There are numerous lighting options in the room which is great. I love the sleek design of the bathrooms, and the shower has FANTASTIC water pressure. Rooms are large for a European hotel. The food in the restaurant was so good I ate there frequently. I never had a bad meal there. Service was very friendly. I was treated like family. I RARELY receive that kind of service at home in the United States. , and unlike The US, no tip is expected in Italy. The treatment felt genuine. One waiter in particular in the dining room, I wish I remembered his name, was extraordinarily kind to me. He remembered my dietary issue at every meal. I never had to mention it to him. He just made things happen correctly the first time around. That is a true professional. I can’t say enough how wonderful The staff is here, how much I felt at home, the breakfasts were lovely especially with the view from the rooftop breakfast room. A stunning view of the sea. My room had a balcony overlooking the pool area. The retractable awning was perfect, as I could sit out there even during downpours and be perfectly dry. If I’m ever back in Catania, I will certainly return...
