My recent visit to Cico Osteria in Alberobello offered some tasty food. However, my overall experience was mixed, primarily due to value and presentation.
The food's flavors were good, but the portion sizes were at best “modest,” many would say (very) small. I also found the use of decorative flower garnishing a bit puzzling. They didn't enhance the dish in terms of flavor or texture and seem to be 5-10 years behind the times as an outdated garnish - I personally prefer my food to shine on its own merits, without superfluous garnishing.

We had eggplant parmigiana “two ways” - traditional (with mozzarella) and a fantastic variation with sweet balsamic and shaved parmigiana. Next a lemony capellini vongole and Cozze e Fiore a linguine w/ lots of tiny mussels and crunchy peppers. Dessert list looked insane, but we ate too much cheese for lunch… no room for dessert. Great service. Waitress didn’t speak much English (and we only speak foods in Italian) But they had an English menu. (Photos attached) She and chef...
