This hotel is FANTASTIC, with high-quality modern decor and clean, cool and pristine interiors and fantastic tranquil gardens for relaxation. If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the marina and relax whilst on the island this is a good option but read the rest of this review below to make sure this aligns with your requirements.. Location is Ana Capri and you can get there by bus from Marina Grande for just over 2 Euros 20 cents. You queue next to the marina for a bus ticket and join bus queue number 2. Your Bus could be instant or you could wait 30mins. Bus takes about 15 minutes and be prepared to stand at busy times. There is a taxi service near the marina but when we arrived it was soooo busy we went for the bus option and was fine. Arriving in Ana Capri to get to the hotel there are two stops, the first stop is ok and you need to walk through the town or if preferred get off at stop number two for a shorter walk to the hotel. We got off at first stop and it was a 10 minute meandering walk to the hotel. See the pictures for our room which was a Junior Suite with a downstairs lounge with sofa (and bed?) and an open plan bedroom upstairs with modern bathroom. We had a small mini fridge with some chargeable drinks inside. Outside we had a garden terrace with chairs and table. The wider hotel grounds have sofas for lounging and there is a hot tub with sunbeds in the garden too. Walking back to Ana Capri is only 5 minutes slow walk. Leisurely walk through Ana Capri town is 15 minutes passed all the restaurants and shops to get to the other end where bus stop number 1 is and taxis. The chair lift is here to get up to the top of the mountain. That cost 12 Euro for return ticket or 9 Euro if you want to walk back down.

We were here between 01-05.07.2024 and it was wonderful! The breakfast was in the garden next to the whirlpool, the room had a sea view with a small balcony and the air conditioner worked as its best. The room service was everyday and you can also have beverages which you can order via the reception. There is also a free shuttle to a hotel nearby with a big swimming pool, ordering via reception. The hotel is next to the city center of Anacapri (5 minutes by walking) and I would highly recommend Anacapri for coming down from your very day life. Kind regards to the stuff, Sara

10+ Near to the bus station in Anacapri and also near to the center. The hotel looks great, clean rooms and nice views. Breakfast is to be considered for sure, great products also. Also about the hotel personal, they are very open to help and guide you, we were allowed to let the baggage in the hotel and to continue the visit in Capri until 6 o’clock even if we did the check out at 11. For sure an option to consider in the future.

I’ve visited Capri many times and this was the worse.

The Good The room has AC.

The Bad. Basically everything else but especially the service and location.

Here is more details about what makes this a bad hotel.

Bad location for tourist Not in the cute part of Anacapri Internet doesn’t work well. Not sure it works at all. It never worked for me. However Capri is notorious for bad internet.

Receptionist not friendly . Guess I’d sum the reception up as rude beyond believe.

Pool: my booking said the property had a pool, but there is no pool . It has a hot tub. Literally.

Plugs in room different work with any of the chargers. Which for me as a foreigner it’s feels uncomfortable not to have a phone in case something happens.

Both ladies at front were rude beyond believe and when I told them my plans were upset. I’m sorry my plans aren’t to their liking but to each is own.

They have access to a pool at another property which they arranged but when I told her I would only stay 2 hours she got upset and said guest stay for the entire day. You should just skip my pool if you will only stay for 2 hours. That instead of using the pool I should just go up have lunch and leave. How does that make sense? Spend money at the pool , not use it and leave. Appeared to me that they wanted to ensure that you spend enough on food and alcohol at the pool. They should sell the sun beds instead of allowing us to use them for 2 hours. The funny part was when we got to the pool it really wasn’t nice at all. Especially for the hype. Avoid. Who is she to tell me what to do and get a nasty attitude because I only want to stay at a pool for two hours.

Of all the places I’ve stayed in Capri over the years this was honestly the worse hotel I’ve stayed at in Capri. It’s a skip.

She also gave inaccurate information saying there was no ferry from Capri to Possitano.

Honestly the worse front desk staff of any hotel I have ever visited both during the day and night.

It’s made the staff uncomfortable from entering and when we left we were sad. I don’t think anyone should be treated like this.

The pool was disappointing at best. We get to the pool and it’s not even that nice. I guess I’ve stayed to many well run establishments and beautiful properties to consider this pool or hotel acceptable. I would never stay again . The hotel needs new management. I think doing high season in Capri they maybe in over their heads. I hated my stay at this property . The ruined the mood both coming and leaving .

I guess the difference is knowing nice from trash. The hotel was inexpensive so maybe they just aren’t used to giving good service.

In the end everything worked out but basically getting away from the hotel staff and enjoying the day. We did...

Allora… Villa Ceselle was, regrettably, one of the less impressive accommodations during our trip along the Amalfi Coast. I’m sorry to say that but there were so many cons about this hotel honestly I don‘t even know where to begin with.

First of all, there isn’t any shuttle service offered by the hotel, meaning you will have to wait in the queue of the taxi stand by the harbor which might take around 1 hour (during peak season). The service, while unprofessional, was passable—just don’t expect any personal treatment. Despite notifying the staff a week prior that we were celebrating a birthday, our arrival was met with no acknowledgment of the occasion nor surprize (like a letter, small decoration or anything). When queried, the receptionist merely noted that they had received our message but do not accommodate special requests of this nature. Furthermore, the room’s air conditioning was notably ineffective, continuously operating yet failing to cool the room, which left us uncomfortably warm. Additionally, a persistent musty odor permeated our room, which, even after being reported, was not addressed. The beds were notably stiff and squeaky, reminiscent of low-quality bunk beds, and every shift in position was accompanied by noise.

Although our booking included a €20 minibar credit, this amenity was not communicated to us upon check-in; we only learned of it after inquiring directly at the reception (we saw it on our booking confirmation through expedia). Had we not asked, it seems it might not have been mentioned at all. The breakfast buffet was also disappointing, particularly for a hotel / villa of this category, lacking any fresh vegetables such as tomatoes or cucumbers and offering only a very basic selection of two types of cheese, some slices of ham, bread, yogurt, cornflakes, and cake.

The receptionist was not always present either…

Overall, the experience at Villa Ceselle fell short of expectations on multiple sides, from service to amenities up to...
