Aumm Aumm Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Anacapri

First of all, we agree with most of the reviewers that the food is excellent. However, we were overcharged for today's lunch which resulted the 3-star rating. The staff strongly suggested that we order an appetizer. He made it sound so nice we agreed. Then we ordered four main courses. One of the dishes we ordered was beef and we were asked how it should be cooked. We were not sure what to say and just went along with the "grill" choice. Then we were prompted with vegetable dishes and we declined. After a wonderful meal, when I looked at the bill, it was 115 euro for the lunch! Instead of one appetizer, we were given and charged two. And the tasty beef that was 10 Euros on the menu became 22 euros. And the vegetable dish we did not order somehow showed up on the bill too. We were so tired and did not have much energy to argue. We just left (yes with tips since the food was good). Our advise is: make sure you make it very clear you do NOT want any extra that you do not fell ordering or did not order. Check the bill...

Honestly the worst restaurant we had food at during our stay in Capri!

Initially they forgot to bring us our wine.. then the pizzas took forever to come. They were serving tables that ordered after us and then when we got our pizzas it was total disappointment… the cheese on the pizzas was horrible (probably the cheapest of its kind) and the pesto on the pizza was too salty. The Pesto pizza was unbearable to be eaten… We also got a Prosciutto and Mushrooms one and the mushrooms looked like the ones you get from cans - not fresh at all.

Once we were ready to pay we went to the cashier to pay. The guy there told us our exact order correctly and then we paid. He then gave us the receipt and on the receipt there were 2 extra soft drinks that we never ordered and he never mentioned right before. He gave us the difference in cash but honestly it didn’t seem like a mistake.

Just be careful and probably choose another place to have a meal instead of this.

Where do I begin. My wife and I spent two weeks in Italy for our honeymoon in October and Aumm Aumm was by far the best dining experience we had. The owner of our bed and breakfast recommended Aumm Aumm on our first night in Anacapri. We went a little early for dinner, around 615 we arrived, and the staff were having dinner. We were greeted by multiple people and taken to our seat.

Our server came by soon after and he was amazing. I mean the best service we have EVER had. He was kind, personable and we took every food recommendation he gave. Boy was it worth it. We stayed until about 830 and he brought us shots of limoncello before we left. As we were walking out another staff member gave us two more shots.

The next night we decided to go back and received such a warm welcome from the staff yet again!
