This was a great experience to go up and see the views of Capri. Located in Anacapri. This Cable car is about €14 euros to get on - it counts as a return ride, one ride all the way to the top for the viewpoint and also accounts for a trip going down.
The chair fits one person at a time, there’s no straps and the bar does move. So if you’re not good with heights, I would not recommend this. Other than that, it is safe and stable, it is a pleasant ride up with no shaking and goes up & down at a steady pace.
So that you can enjoy the view and also take photos and videos as you go.
Do take care of your belongings when you’re going up and down the cable car, due to gusts of winds - hats, shoes and other items can be lost. They do have lockers to put belongings in but I don’t think it’s necessary.
When you reach the top, there are lovely views of Capri. There is also a restaurant/drinks area at the top so that you can refresh. I didn’t get any food but I got orange juice for €10 (approx). Would recommend bringing your own drinks or eating in the mainland.
Other than that, the cable car experience is highly...
Read moreIt was one of the breathtaking experiences i have ever had. Surely a 5 🌟. The cable car is a 100 metres from anacapri funicolare and bus stop. Its 12 euros both ways. 9 euro one way. I would have chosen the one way and returned on foot for an amazing walk downhill. Its less crowded around nov-mar. The ride dosent stop you are to stand on a blue mark and a person assists you to climb onto the seat with a handle and there is nothing else apart from that. Its atleast 3-8 metres from the ground. The ride takes you through a hill with breathtaking views. The ride lasts 20mins to the top of the hill with a wonderful garden. Steep hill sides 500m above crystal seas and the whole bay of naples can be viewed from the top. There is a cafe on the top. The way back prefer a walk down if you have time. All in all its a 10/10 for...
Read moreTo get here we bought €20 tickets to ride the HD travel bus which comes much sooner than the regular buses. Then we climb the hill and paid our fee and got in line. We did not know that the cable car is very high, as high as some of the cable cars I’ve taken when I go skiing. Unfortunately, Imy friend had a huge phobia of heights, so she is freaking out while riding it. She freaked out so much she had to walk downhill so if you do this, you freak out, there is a path to walk downhill. Just know that it’s very rocky so it’s helpful to be wearing sports, sandals or sneakers. Overall, this was a great ride, and I highly recommend it. HINT, each seat will only take one person so if you’re traveling with a child, they will have to ride the seat by themselves. It was very peaceful to sit on it, and look out...
