We walked up from the rail station, trying to find the place. We asked a passerby. "It's my family's property, I'll take you there!" Her niece, Martina, who runs the B&B, was not there, so the aunt let us in, called her niece, entertained us, and left when Martina arrived. What a pleasure to be in this immaculate old residence furnished with carpets and period pieces and all the modern amenities. The room was spotless and breezy, with a balcony leading to a rooftop terrace and a second, secret garden, perfectly groomed by Martina's dad! Morning's in the front yard, sitting with beautiful linens and dishes, we felt priviledged as Martina prepared our eggs and coffee. The balcony had a great view of Cefalu but could have been a bit more cozily ‘furnished’ (although this is an absolute MINOR detail). The b&b is located approx. 10 minutes from town; but for us this was great, in order to escape the busy and touristic streets of inner-Cefalu. Be aware the last ~100 meters is uphill. |All in all very good value for money, and we can only recommend this B&B to other...
