Ristorante All i Oli — Restaurant in Como

The first time we went to All i Oli, we asked Marco to surprise us. This was the best choice we’ve made on our whole holiday. The food, the ambience and ofcourse Marco and his wife were wonderful. From bruchetta to the homemade pasta and tiramisu these are the best you will ever have, and this is coming from someone who visited all the hotspots in Italy already.

After the amazing first night and paying “il conto” we immediately made a reservation for our last evening in Italy, it just had to be done.

The last evening: When we walked in Marco was waiting for us at his bar, greeted us with joy and immediately made us feel at home. Then he told us that he had a surprise diner for us, just like the first night. Until we found out it was even better than before. The food was even more sublime than the first night, especially after figuring out that he made us food thats not even on the menu. He was in the kitchen for 6 hours, making the most perfect ragu for the lasagna. Just perfect.

The joy in Marco’s and his wifes face was incredible.

I had the pleasure of dining at All i Oli on a recent trip to Lake Como. We had spent the week in Switzerland, and had made a trip from Locarno to Lake Como, so we wanted some authentic Italian food for lunch. Luckily, All i Oli provided this in abundance!

They run a two-course lunch menu which is great value. For €15, you get a starter and a main course. The menu changes daily, but you can always expect to find delicious Italian dishes like pasta, risotto, and grilled meats and fish.

For starters we enjoyed a delicious pasta with a pecorino sauce, followed by a grilled pork chop and vegetables. Both courses were perfectly cooked, and really were exceptional quality for the cost. We rounded out the meal with a fantastic Italian coffee.

The service at All i Oli was excellent, and we were well looked after. The restaurant is small and was very popular with locals, and we can completely understand why.

A successful merge of the Spanish and Italien cuisine, to be found easily in a side street of this beautiful city. Parking can be tricky. I was lucky though with a spot right in front of the place, so can you. I waved by 7 cars though who thought I might leave and not arrive. It's recommend to book or come early, apparently regardless what day in the week. The service was friendly, quick and certainly knowledgeable. The boss is the chef who is also supporting serving. To the most important part, the food. It was okay. Not more. A bit too oily and fatty for my personal taste. Others seem to love it though, because the place was packed when we came by later. The prices are okay. In summary, give it go, but I personally would try out something else the next time...
