We booked this place for one reason - the view of Herculaneum. Things didn't look good when we couldn't get hold of them to tell them what time we would be arriving, but when we finally did they asked a lot of questions about how long we were staying and what room we were in etc. We arranged to be there at 2pm but when we got there nobody was there and we had to wait. When we did get into the building after a lot of confusion it turned out that the room we were supposed to be in was occupied. We asked if we could move in there later in the week as we were staying four nights and they said it was fully booked. We were offered either money back or a different apartment which they didn't run or accept the room at the front and give us money back that we had paid extra for the Herculaneum view. We didn't really have much choice as we were already there but to take the front room with a terrible view on a busy street. There were issues with maintenance, synthetic bedding and over use of artificial air freshener spray but worst of all was the noise from the street, traffic, car horns, shouting. Even with the windows closed and shutters closed it still made for a poor nights sleep. After three nights we booked and paid for somewhere else. When we let them know in the morning that we were leaving early they said we could move into the other room!? We had already paid for the new place and left. Very disorganised. Even when it came to breakfast tickets for a café nearby they gave us 5 when the café owner wanted two per morning, so not even...
Read moreThis is a very good place to stay. The location is excellent for the Herculaneum archeological site ( 2 minutes walk) local restaurants and bars ( nearest one 2 minutes away, the rest all within 10 minutes ) the train station is within 10 minutes walk too.||The hosts, Eduardo and Francesca are excellent, very helpful and informative, nothing is too much for them to help if they can, they will.||The accommodation is amazing, there are 2 bedrooms, the family room overlooks the archeological site and the other room is for a couple and faces the street. Considering it’s location, it is very quiet at night. The rooms are equipped to a high standard and have air conditioning. The rooms are serviced daily.||We would definitely stay there again, Herculaneum (Ercolano) was a god base for us to stay, easy access to the train network, made visiting Naples and Pompeii so easy.||Many thanks to Eduardo and...
