We visited this cafe as a quick stop for a beer and snack, the staff were so welcoming and prompt with their service we ended up making this our destination each day of our week long holiday. The food is good, so total respect to Alessandro for his skills. The waiting staff Fabio and Mena deserve special mention as they were so attentive and great conversationalists, explaining Italian pronunciation and words. When we visit Herculaneum again we will definitely make a beeline for this amazing and welcoming establishment. Five star...

A gem. Go here. Try the cooking, not just the sandwich or brioche. A cafe, conveniently placed to the ruins, and down the hill from the commuter rail, that can rustle up something.more substantial than brioche. Was not expecting much but got x2 omelettes that were so well presented and cooked right, I could've been in an osteria. Bar Sandwich Herculean is located literally outside the entrance to Herculean. And a short walk from the train station. We sat down after our visit to Herculean, which worked very well for us. Staff great, food and service was spot on. Price , not bad at all, considering it's location.
