We went today for a quick lunch after visiting the ruins. Ordered 2 large beers and 2 pizzas . Pizzas used tinned tomtoes and tinned mushrooms we are in Italy. We asked for the bill, and I asked what the 4 euros was for and was told it was a cover charge I did not see this mentioned on the menu ( it is a small cafe not a restaurant). Anyway, I came to pay and was only now told it is cash only. Unfortunately, I did not have enough cash on me and said, "Why did you not tell me before I sat down? To avoid! Waited almost an hour for a pizza, asked the waitress several times about the order, but she visibly had no idea about what's happening in the restaurant. (There were two other tables, also desperate.) It appears to be a badly-managed family. The ultimate blow was the canned mushroom on that much-awaited pizza. Asked for the check twice, but the waitress kept delaying the payment, as she had to call the father-like figure who was obviously the only one in charge of all operations. (Only cash!) Have I read the reviews before, I wouldn't chose this place, and I blame myself for that. The pizza is expensive and the dough is very bad, you would do better with frozen pizza from the supermarket. Service is slow (even for Italian standards) and they confuse orders. Don't repeat my mistake and look in gmaps for something better, or ask locals, you don't deserve this kind of bad food in south Italy. I wish the cook of this place to have an ananas...
