I wish it was possible to give this place more stars but until some things are fixed it only deserves 2. Rosa room is very spacious and close to T2 tram which will take you directly into city centre. Air conditioning works very well, shower is a good size and a bar fridge. Staff also friendly. Unfortunately the positives stop there. Floor wasn't cleaned properly, room decor was completely different to pictures of the room. Curtains different and stained, no bedside lamps, seating different and towels folded as you would at your own home. TV on wall is tiny. These small details contributed to the overall let down. Toilet seat broken, hair dryer broken, hand towel rail loose and unusable and bin lid hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Breakfast included and set up in room each day is sub standard and one morning we didn't even receive it. Following morning it seemed someone's used breakfast tray was moved from another room to ours with several items missing on one tray including the coffee pod and a used cup on it. On a final note, after arriving from a long day of transit and hot weather we were made to stand and wait and watch for over 5 minutes while the owner finished training a new staff member before the check in could even start. Could be a great room with all the repairs fixed, decor set back as advertised and more attention to...
Read moreThis is advertised as a hotel but it is a private house, where nobody lives, that is reconverted in a B&B. The problem is that the owners don't live in Florence, and therefore the check in is extremely difficult. On the site it says 15-18; so you can only check in in those hours. However, when I booked I really didn't see it because, misleadingly, this accommodation is advertised as HOTEL and you would not normally go and look for check in times in a hotel!! But it turns out that it is not that easy at all to check in, even during those hours. A lady there calls you to fix a specific time, and if you are a tourist you can't really guarantee you'll be there at 3 also because you rely on transport and there is traffic and so on. The lady is quite uncooperative, cannot be bothered to help too much. I was there for work and I had to go to work with my whole luggage, and then during working hours she was ringing to renegotiate check in times because these didn't suit her. It was frankly ABSURD! The breakfast was quite poor too. Calling it buffet is ridiculous. There were some prepacked biscuits, nothing really nice, just very basic cheap...
