J Suite — Hotel in Gioia del Colle

Firstly, I would like to commend Gioia del Colle for its captivating atmosphere, delectable cuisine, and welcoming locals. Please do not let my review dissuade you from experiencing this charming town.

I made a reservation for this bed and breakfast through hotels.com, benefiting from a discount as a Gold member. The host initiated communication with me one day before my arrival, initially requesting that I provide my estimated arrival time 30 minutes prior to reaching the property. Later, she insisted on a specific arrival time. As I was traveling with two companions, I indicated that one of my friends would arrive first. However, just an hour before her arrival, the host messaged me to claim that I had booked a double room, despite my reservation clearly stating a triple room. I attempted to explain my situation, but she refused to engage with me and instead argued with my friend regarding the accommodation.

To rectify the situation, I had to contact hotels.com to reaffirm my booking, which was promptly resolved. Subsequently, the host sent a threatening email, asserting that the price I paid was not agreed upon with hotels.com and that the she only gave us the room out of hospitality. I found this conduct highly unprofessional. When room service was provided, the attendant knocked on my door with excessive force, displaying a discourteous demeanor.

On the day of check-out, my two roommates were informed that it was time to depart, an hour prior to the official checkout time. In response to the host's unprofessional behavior, I simply left my room key on the table and exited, receiving no acknowledgment or apology from her in the process.

Regarding the room itself, it was situated on the top floor and featured a small kitchen, unreliable Wi-Fi, a bathroom lacking a door (which allowed for an uncomfortable lack of privacy), a shower where one could not stand upright, a small double bed, and a military-style cot for the third person. Access to the room required navigating multiple flights of stairs.

While the bed and breakfast's location offered the convenience of numerous delightful restaurants and the warmth of the town's friendly residents, the host's behavior was a notable exception. It's worth mentioning that the town can be somewhat noisy, which might pose challenges for light sleepers.

it was a nice surprise discovering Jsuite located in the most central part of Gioia del Colle, From the suites , at least Caravaggio where I was you can enjoy an great view on main square and within less than 2 mins walking you are on main street and close to all attractions ||the rooms are generous in size , well equipped and cozy furnished . Yes as someone else reported having the bathroom inside and open to bedroom is quite weird and needs to be accustomed to it or having an open mind.||Francesca the owner has turned this buiding into a small gem with a small kitchenette at the entrance where a full fridge will make sure you have always something to enjoy .||To get a good espresso, the b&B has made an agreement with two nearby bars those at the morning will provide you the exact dose of caffeine you need to start the day ||Plenty of good optons to dine in the close surroundings ||A good way to live in Italian style . Staying at Bed&Breakfast JSuite was an amazing experience: I came as a tourist, I felt like home and I left as a friend.||||First of all, actually it is a boutique-hotel, with an extraordinary interior design done by the owner, who seems to be a genius in architecture! All big hotels should hire him and use his experience as a source of inspirations. The furniture is an amazing combination between latest technologies and vintage style.||||Secondly, the service is perfect! Very clean place and very friendly staff. ||||Thirdly, the hotel owners are incredible people, with bounderless limits in putting all their effort to make their visitor feel like nowhere else. And they succeeded!||||Last but not least, the quality you get for this price makes this hotel extremely attractive and definitely, if you get close to Bari, spend one night in Gioia del Colle at Bed&Breakfast JSuite!
