Alright. Here's the short version incase you don't care to read.
If you're considering staying here, stop considering and just do it.
And now, here's the long version. (We speak English, and no Italian)
Every single staff member has gone out of their way to ensure we have everything we need. The security guard helped us park our car by showing us where the parking is and was happy to do it. The front desk staff got us checked in (even early) and answered every question we had including showing us how to get to certain places using a map. The maids did a great job cleaning our room while we were out. The staff at the restaurant are happy to serve and answered all questions happily.
The restaurant breakfast buffet is UNREAL in terms of choice and quality for someone visiting from Canada. They had the typical Italian fixings but also had eggs (however you want cooked), pancakes, sausage, etc. We were very happy about this because the traditional Italian breakfast doesn't quite do it for us alone.
While we are on the subject of the restaurant, the staff are all so courteous and happy to help. This includes every server and manager.
Parking is a little tricky to get to in terms of getting past a couple gates but super safe and simple once you get it figured out.
Location of the hotel has been great in terms of walking distance to the local subway, so we've left our car parked during our stay and just used the cities subway system which has been great.
The rooms are perfect, bed is comfortable, bathroom amazing, and room is QUIET. Sound proofed really well so were having really great sleeps which is super important to us.
Hotel outside the rooms is also very beautiful. It was really fun walking in for the first time as the hotel has a very high end feeling to it cause of the architecture and decor.
We still have 1 more night here as I type this but this place has made our entire Milan experience so much more worth it.
We will definitely be staying here whenever we get a chance to return.
Whoever the manager is at this place, I hope you see this, and keep doing what you're doing to keep such a positive and inspired staff.
Thanks...
Read moreAs a business traveller, I frequent Milan one week of every month, and this for sure ... is a hotel I'll NEVER stay in again.
Cons
From the first hour of checking in I had problems ... after travelling all day, I jumped into the shower. As I stood out of it, naked ... I'm greeted by a man in shock, as was I. The man, another hotel guest confused his room number, and his access key worked on my room. I called reception for an explanation, then they locked me out of my room instead of the other person. Not a nice experience for either of us, and not as much as an apology.
Stayed on 12th floor, without knowing i was staying right under the "party floor" on the 13th. EVERY night.. music was vibrating the bedroom walls late into the night. Despite calling reception asking for a room move, or anything so I could sleep, they did absolutely nothing. They intact told me to complain in the morning when the manager was back, and leave a bad review. . .
As if being kept awake half the night isn't bad enough, they then ... decide to start dragging and banging the furniture upstairs around from 06.30am. I was extremely tried all week due to their absolute incompetence.
I literally booked this hotel for the pool... to chill out at in the evening. If you feel the same, don't bother. Of the 4 nights I was there, the pool was open for 1 night, until 7pm. I get back to hotel at 6pm after work. So, 1 hour pool time, for 1 night. Because, they rent out the space for private parties, and just tell the hotel guest "thanks for your understanding" what a joke.
The first night I ate at the hotel bar, ordered the burger and fries. And the kiddle of the burger was both cold, and raw.
Just everything about this place was a disaster. Looks beautiful... good location, but behind by the beauty of the walls, is a terribly ran hotel who simply don't care about their...
Read moreThe hotel was beautiful, well maintained and the rooms lovely. The added bonus was a hot tub on the patio and it was perfect for three ladies travelling together. Service unfortunately let this hotel down severely. At our first breakfast we ordered omelettes, waited some 15 mins before chasing up again to be told they were coming… another 15 minutes went by so we chased again, this time with another waiter. He said he would check and came back to say the kitchen was now closed and no omelettes. We went and found the original waiter and complained and were able to finally get them but 45 mins late impacting on our whole start to the day. We were told we needed to reserve sunbeds at the pool which we did with no issues on the first afternoon. However on the second we reserved online to be told that we hadn’t specified sunbed and therefore had a deckchair each with no shade. One of us was pregnant and so we refused on the basis of no shade and due to how uncomfortable the deckchair was. We then waited from midday until 2pm for a sunbed to become available. The system does not work!!! So many people were left without any where to sit and although we were finally sorted, it was following numerous refusals to just be happy with an inappropriate offering. It needs to operate on a first come first served basis with beds cleared of no one sits on them for a 15 min period. Since returning to the Uk we have noticed an additional night has been charged to the credit card. I spoke with the hotel who advised this was a deposit and would be returned. It was not and so I have disputed with the credit card company directly who have blocked this charge instead but it’s really unacceptable to over charge a customer and then not refund. Location wise, as long as you are happy to team or metro the hotel location is fine- not central but easy enough...
