Who is Cherry and where was she? I read the reviews about a woman named Cherry and she blew us off. I never saw her.||||We stayed in a room that was meant for a family of four and it was very uncomfortable. All three beds were in cramped quarters and on the top floor which required you to carry your luggage up a narrow spiral staircase. The only tiny bathroom is downstairs so be prepared to tip toe down the stairs in the middle of the night. ||||The Air conditioning is terrible. It cools downstairs but nothing upstairs....good luck trying to sleep on a hot summer night in your tight upstairs sleeping quarters.||||As for Cherry, I sent her an email asking for some "local" restaurant advice and I didn't get a response. I also sent an additional email inquiring about staying an extra night and I didn't get a response. The morning after after we checked in, I asked the nice woman who was serving breakfast about "Cherry". I told her about my questions and she said Cherry was at the bank. She contacted Cherry and she told us that we didn't ask Cherry about spending another night. This was NOT true. She obviously was too consumed with other issues to tend to her guests. We ended up staying next door T the Hotel Margarita. We had two rooms for less money. A much...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed in the double room for 7 nights and we came away thinking we couldn't have picked a better B&B. ||||Firstly it has a great location, just off the main street in Monterosso old town close to the shops, bars and restaurants and is just a few pleasant minutes stroll from the beach. ||||The room was a pleasant surprise when we first arrived. It consists of a self contained ground floor living space, with a couch, table, chairs, tv and a good bathroom (with an excellent shower). The bedroom is on an cleverly constructed mezzanine level which is accessed via a spiral staircase.||||The breakfast was comprehensive and if the weather permitted it was served outside on the charming patio area, if not, it was served in the room.||||Cherry, the owner, was very helpful and communication was great leading up to and during our stay. A special mention must go to Cora who looked after us fabulously during our stay. She is ultra helpful and friendly and she cooks a mean scrambled egg!||||If you're looking for B&B accommodation in the Cinque Terra then we couldn't recommend this place...
Read moreWe were a couple and a friend, so had the tri-room. Double upstairs (only room for a bed on the mezannine) and single downstairs. ||We were met by someone (not Cherry) who was very helpful and welcoming, and let us check in early and made us all a coffee. ||The room was cosy but not cramped. As we were walking all day it was fine. ||The amenities were great - everything was comfortable, clean, and the decor was modern and accommodating. The bathroom was great, good hot shower. ||We were sorry to have to check out early to catch a train, therefore missing the breakfast which sounded great, however a ton of lovely fruit fresh croissants and other breakfast goodies were left out for us. We ended up taking most of it with us for a snack later on. ||There is a small terrace, pretty with bright orange colouring, a lovely suntrap as it was unseasonally cool when we were there. I wish we had made this a 2 night stay instead of just the one. The terrace made the place seem bigger than it was, as it is a lovely space for coffee, breakfast or having an afternoon drink,...
