Hotel La Pergola — Hotel in Rome

The hotel is perfect for a having a trip in Rome and if you are staying there only when you want to sleep is fine except the fact that is far away from the center. My experience until the end was pleasant until the last day. I was staying with my parents and because we live in different countries, I was supposed to check out until 10 a.m. and my parents until 4 a.m. because they had an early flight. After they checked out I continued to stay in the room because the receptionist told me that is okay to stay in the room when my parents check out. In the middle of the night, a person from the staff, more specifically, a man came into the room and took the key while I was sleeping. I called my parents immediately and they told me that he didn’t believe that the key was there and came to checked it. In my opinion, it is not a very pleasant experience for a young woman like me to see a man in the middle of the night coming into het room and taking her key while in the same time, he is seeng that there is a...

i’d recommend this hotel to the people who will only sleep at the hotel, but have all the other meals outside of it. the rooms are small and cramped, the shared balconies are kind of weird whereas i can go out and look into another person’s room because the blinds are see-through. i was in one of the rooms on the first floor, and it was the worst out of all of my friends’—the bathroom was very very VERY small. the pillows were brown, the plastic covering the shower was also very dirty like moldy.. the breakfast only serves pastries, ham, cheese and drinks. no fruits or vegetables, no eggs.. everything was cold and sugary. the only good thing is the mcdonalds and market right next to the hotel. the staff was very friendly though. i recommend bringing own towels for hands and face, because in the middle of the stay they just switched up normal towels...

Stayed here while I was on a group tour of Italy. The horrible wifi was a minor irritation, but my main issue was with the cleanliness. Several people in my group woke up in the morning with bug bites all over their bodies - it turned out to be fleas. The person working at the front desk wasn't helpful at all. He was clearly irritated and when he went to inspect the bed for bugs, he claimed that we were lying. The reason there weren't any bugs on the beds was because we'd picked them up and put them on a tissue to show him in order to get him to listen to us. The showers were clogged so you couldn't take a long shower unless you didn't mind water overflowing into the rest of the bathroom. Breakfast wasn't horrible, but it was nothing to write home about.
