I enjoyed my stay overall here, but the hotel is very dated and in need of some upgrades. The shower was a bit dirty when i arrived, the fridge was barely cold, and the AC unit was old and not very powerful. Not even a safe for the key anywhere in the room. It is basic stuff that you would expect should be standard. Our room was just above reception on the first floor and WIFI connection was so bad it didnt even reach. Shutters were very annoying to open. Bathroom is so cramped by feet were in the shower when sat on the toilet. The room just seemed tired and in need of some TLC. Checkout took almost 15 minutes of waiting as no one was around, even though it was checkout time.
Onto the postives: the staff were very friendly, great price and solid location too. The swimming pool was really nice and clean. bed was comfy. Overall, i would stay here again if no better alternatives were available, but a bit of investment is needed in...
Read moreI have just returned from spending a week at hotel alsazia and found it to be a friendly, welcoming hotel. Although it is not cheap, it is more competitively priced than other hotels in the area and although not in the centre of Sirmione, there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. The centre of Sirmione is probably a 30 minute walk, which I didn't mind as the weather was always nice. The room was quite small but it had everything we needed and it had a balcony. The pool area is quiet and rarely busy therefore you are guaranteed a sunbed in a good spot. The only day it was busy was on Sundays but I still managed to get a well positioned sunbed. The staff are very friendly and their English is limited but we didnt have any problems with this, they always tried their best to communicate with us in our poor attempt at Italian. Overall we had a great experience at the hotel. Would love to...
