WARNING: To eat here, you first have to pay 1.80 euros per person for getting a seat at the table, for using the utensils and the napkins. I thought this was a given thing as a customer??!
As a student studying abroad for 4 years, I have never once encountered such a policy before. What's more, this is not mentioned until the end where you have to pay for your meal. Even the waitress looked guilty while the manager told us about the charges. Wow.
The environment was not the best, seats are crammed and we were ushered in to sit behind another group of Asians even when the WHOLE restaurant is empty. This made both parties extremely uncomfortable and we felt so awkward being squeezed and as a result, we didn't talk much.
The prices of the dishes are around 4 euros to 8 euros each, however don't be fooled as it is barely enough for one person. A plate of duck? You get a drum and a wing. A plate of squids? You get about 6 of those and the rest of the plate is filled with onions instead.
I posted a picture of the receipt so you can all see how it is done. When the bill comes like this, there is no way to check if you really did order all these entries or not.
In general, it was not a very pleasant experience. I don't recommend.. Unless, you like to be...
Read moreI was at the bus stop already an hour waiting for the usually delayed bus L026 which is few minutes walk from this place in Via Roma and really needed to use the bathroom, so I went looking for a place nearby (at the risk of not knowing whether my bus has passed or not so had to be quick). I run into this very run down, decadent looking establishment and walked in saw 2 employees of Asian ethnicity and asked if I could use their facilities but the answer was no straight away and after offering them money to use their bathroom the answer was still no. How INCREDIBLY MEAN way to treat people who are visiting and bringing money to your area (even if not necessarily to you, and in this case I even offered money). Regardless the place was looking decadent and dirty and would never eat there, much less after the cold, inhuman treatment I received in a moment of need. If this review costs them even a penny deterring unsuspecting tourists away it is totally worth it, although I'm sure one look at the place and they will lose their appetite. Anyone reading this I recommend the all white looking Italian restaurant next door, much more friendly, welcoming and clean and they do an excellent...
Read moreFood had great quality for super cheap prices and was delicious. Only downsides are for one the service and two, the location and atmosphere, which seems rather dark, empty and not very welcoming. The 2 only waiters i believe, seemed like they do not like working here. No "hello", "youre welcome" "goodbye". We were ignored when we came in with a kind hello and when we left with a kind goodbye. Another thing that was weird, was the order of how orders were served. A group of people had ordered way before us, yet a few of our orders were served first. The food wasnt served in order for the table though. My mother received her food about 20 minutes after the rest of our family had their food served.
That being said, allthough the service wasnt all too great, the food was still pretty nice and very enjoyable. I dont necessarily recommend this place to visitors from abroad but specifically for perhaps native chinese speakers or visitors in an...
