Hotel La Bitta — Hotel in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

I've stayed at this hotel July 12/14 with a couple of friends for a week end; the location is awesome (a few steps from the beach,a few minutes by bike from Forte dei Marmi downtown), the hotel doesn't charge any extra price for renting its bikes (we had some friends staying at another hotel who instead had to pay an extra daily rate for that), the room was clean (with AC) and the bathroom quite big. I never woke up early enough for breakfast so I cant comment on that, but a friend who did found it satisfactory. The owner (a lady working at the front desk) was really polite and helpful with us at all time (we had friend sleeping over on our second and last night and we didn't have to pay any extra for that, and they even manage to assemble a bunk bad), and on our last day she allowed us to use the bikes all day even if our checkout was at 12.00 AM. ||My only suggestion is to book a room in the upper floor, we were staying at the first one and when people were having breakfast we heard a little noise from our room (it's mainly an hotel for family, and we had a totally differrent schedule). We stayed here for a night in June and we asked for a few favors, we needed a late checkout and help ironing a shirt and trousers. The hotel staff were very very accommodating and let us do this free of charge. I was very impressed by how kind they were with these requests as normally hotels can be quite money-grubbing. They could have charged us for it but they didn't and we were very grateful. The room that we got was facing the street and had a lovely balcony. It was a 10 minute walk to the beach. Hotel La Bitta è vicinissimo al mare (pochi minuti a piedi dallo stabilimento con cui è convenzionato). C’è parcheggio (secondo disponibilità) ed è molto comodo perché la macchina può restare ferma visto che ci sono bici a disposizione dei clienti. Una bella pista ciclabile collega Marina di Pietrasanta a Forte dei Marmi, Lido di Camaiore e Viareggio.|Le stanze sono piccole e abbastanza confortevoli (la porta del bagno avrebbe bisogno di manutenzione), sempre pulite e in ordine. C’è un terrazzo su cui poter far asciugare i teli da mare e i costumi. Al quinto piano c’è un bellissimo solarium ds cui si vede il mare da una parte e le Apuane dall’altra. Sarebbe utile mettere un ombrellone altrimenti che garantisce un po’ di ombra.|Abbiamo scelto la mezza pensione e devo dire che abbiamo mangiato sempre bene.
