This could be a very cool place, if it weren’t for the rude owner (the woman). I have never been treated this poorly at any location world-wide. Her staff was surprisingly nice, but they couldn't make up for the rudeness of the owner. The beds were old and the metal frames a hazard. We had a room with a so-called external bathroom. Very unpleasant to go across an unlit hallway at night as the light goes off and by the time you come out of the bathroom you cannot turn it on from there. Wifi was flaky and initially didn't work in the room at all even though that had been promised. Poor connection. Don't go there if you need to take along any work. The furniture is old and very used. Even the pillows smelled used. The linens were freshly washed though. If it hadn’t been for the way we were treated, I would have probably given the place 3 stars. There is no parking at the place in winter, but the pickup by snow mobile was a fun experience. Breakfast was mediocre. The best thing were the freshly prepared eggs. The location is quite original and authentic. But only go there is you are secure on your feet. Everything is icy and slippery. You have to remember that you are staying at a very old stone hut. Not sure why they call this a hotel, it should just be called a lodge, that would do it more justice. When we left, and the owner was upset with us because we had to leave early due to a family emergency, there was no more offer of transporting us down the steep slope to our car, so we had to slide down the hill with our ski baggage. We gladly did leave that way given the way we had been treated. We will never stay at this...

We were a group of 6 blokes who had visited the terrace bar last year and thought "Why not?"|We had a fantastic week in the friendliest hotel you could find.|There are only 7 bedrooms so you feel part of the family as soon as you arrive.|The beds are very comfy and everything is spotless.|Albert the" Scooby doo" driver picks you up and takes you down the 150 m at any time requested. You can walk down easily but not back up!|Alliona is a whirlwind of joy that greets you with a cheery conversation every time you meet her.|Davide looks after the bar and we kept him busy!|Renato fronts the restaurant and is very good at his job.|We were half board so you can choose 2 courses from the menu and anything else you pay a small surcharge.|It is very meat orientated but there are pasta options. The restaurant is open to the public and does a roaring trade. |It was very cold when we were there so only sat on the terrace once but normally this is a fantastic spot to relax on.|Location is obviously great. You can nearly ski into the boot room!|Overall our general feeling is "Lets fill the place next...

(+) Delicious locally sourced food in a traditional setting.

Good location on the ski slope and easily accessible for dinner with a free snowmobile transport to the restaurant.

(-) Portion sizes are nothing short of disappointing. Main courses are equal to appetisers in most restaurants. Would suggest coming here for a brunch or a light dinner but definitely not worth the price after a tiring day of skiing.

Main courses do not include contorno (side dishes), and is not clearly stated. With the size of the main dish, the contorno arrived long after the meal was finished.

Prices are roughly the same as other high quality restaurants in the area, however portion sizes are considerably smaller, and most other restaurants include at least a side dish in the price of their main courses.

Complimentary bread basket was forgotten on our table, however the staff were were receptive and quickly provided us one when asked.

Fried potatoes were on the salty side, and very simple compared to the complexity of...

Fantastic hotel in the summer for seekers of a quiet retreat after one of the many breathtaking hikes that start right at the doorstep. On sunny days, there are nice deckchairs to lounge in. Breakfast seems limited, but there is fresh fruit and bacon and eggs will be prepared on demand. Dinner is nice. If you opt for half board, you can choose two out of three courses. The staff are extremely nice and eager to accommodate any wishes.

A great place for lunch or drinks. Amazing views from the terrace to Matterhorn or down to the village. Frindly service and tasty food. Also serving sushi as well as traditional Italian food. A little challenging location as a hotel. You need a snowmobile ride to and from the village to reach this place when ski lifts aren't in operation
