Mon Amour — Restaurant in Valtournenche

Before 7pm you can order pizza but they only serve the full dinner menu after 7. The pizzas, calzone and polenta are average and would have been fine but the service was terrible. They seated us in an empty restaurant and before asking if we wanted drinks took away all our wine glasses. I guess that is their way of saying we cannot order wine. Then the waiters stood looking at us and pointing and made us feel unwanted and rushed. They wanted to clear our table even though there were no other customers coming in at the time. I can understand if it was crowded and there was a wait for our table. There were 6 of us ordering food, drinks and would have liked dessert but they didn’t even want to show us the menu again. There is a full page of desserts in the dinner menu. It’s hard to understand why they don’t appreciate customers who want to spend money. Unfortunately, it was the worst experience we had after eating out for an entire week...

We didn’t have a reservation but had read good reviews so took a chance. The restaurant was busy but we were immediately accommodated in a back room (which we assumed was the hotel breakfast room). This was also busy. Friendly waiter who took out orders promptly. Delicious pizzas from a comprehensive menu and they didn’t disappoint. Only complaint was that the pasta dish we ordered was not hot....

Nice view, good enough service. Smoked salmon as appetizer was good. But pizza with mushrooms, artichokes and prosciutto was very poor! Just one thin slice of prosciutto and quarter of artichoke on the whole pizza? Liquid in the center and burned on the sides. Also usage of chemical sprays to clean the tables after guests. Even if you are seats on the next table in 1m. The smell is so strong it...
