Arriving in beautiful Venice on Piazale Roma, we first encounter the beautifully landscaped gardens of Papadopoli. They are located between the Venezia Santa Lucia train station and Piazzale Roma. The first park was laid out in 1834 by Francesco Bagnara for the owners of the Palazzo Foresti Papadopoli. They were full of rare species of trees and flowers, but over the years the number declined and was sacrificed in favor of the construction of new buildings and in 1933 the construction of the Freedom Bridge. The city at the time was facing new urban needs, tourism and tradition. The gardens are divided into three parts, two of which are smaller, and in the third part they have a large wooden cover, it is fenced and it is large, filled with cypresses, cedars, nettles, oaks, pagoda trees, elms, pittosporums, evoniums, oleanders, laurels. In one part of the garden, facilities for children to play have also been built. Beautiful park with good energy and great place to relax.

Dream Come True! Sergei was very good navigating through the low bridged and narrow waterways. I thought the water would be smelly (as some waterways did smell the night before) but it didnt. It actually looked very clean and the ride was very comfortable. Sergei also provided information about their construction and some history. :)

Beautiful area with lots of green space, a park in the heart of Mestre and just across from Venice. The perfect place for complete rest and relaxation. Inside the park are great restaurants and bars that offer good food and drink. The green area offers a good view of Venice and the Venetian lagoon. Very open, with lots of trails for both runners and walkers and cyclists. Everything is great done. It is easy to walk or run 4-5 km around the park, the lagoon and its trails. Apart from being an area for environmental and landscape recovery, it is also one of the most important places to study the lagoon environment, it is also popular as a destination for sports and cultural activities for leisure. An ideal place to stay in nature with the family. Created thanks to the European contribution, San Giuliano Park is an ambitious project, one of the most significant urban conversion and land reclamation interventions in Italy due to its complexity and articulation, as well as its dimensional and territorial characteristics. San Giuliano Park is one of the richest areas of biodiversity in the Venetian lagoon environment, and is known for being an excellent area for bird watching to visit the lagoon, attracting the interest of many nature photographers and observers, especially ornithologists. The park is actually known to enthusiasts for its rich avifauna, as it is a nesting area for many...

This is a pleasant treed small park on the opposite side of the canal to St Lucia station.

You can easily access it via the foot bridges on either side of the station.

It's a nice quiet oasis if you need a break from the tourist throng. It has a nice playground for young children also, and has park benches if you need to sit down.

Playground:

The playground is out of the direct foot trafic of the busy tourist paths, and the park has a wall around it with only a couple of gate exits, making it easier for parents to relax also while adequately supervising their...
