The hotel is really close to the train station on a quiet residential street. We arrived and had no idea how to get in to the property. After a few mins a young boy appeared and asked in excellent English for his age if we had a room booked. He then took us up to the room, went off, came back with a receipt for the money and asked me to write my name on a piece of paper. He handed us a set of keys with no explanation of which key was for which door (I'm not blaming him - he was a young child) I'm not sure it was the room we had booked. It was absolutely huge with a fully equipped kitchen which I don't remember seeing in the description. It didn't have a balcony in the room as advertised but the room led out to what looked like an office but nobody was ever there so we sat on the balcony there. There was no proper door on the room - it was a sort of concertina shutting which was locked using a padlock. It was a shared bathroom and the door didn't lock which was a bit unnerving. There was no shower curtain or screen so when you had a shower the bathroom became flooded. There was no toilet paper. There was a freestanding pool in the garden which was quite novel. The pool was clean but the area around it wasn't - garden furniture that looked like it had been abandoned for 20 years - covered in dirt and grime. It was quite a long walk to the arena and a very long walk to the historic centre. The day before we left the young boy popped his head out of another apartment in the building and said when we left we should leave the keys on a chest in the hallway. The problem with this was the button for opening the outside gate was broken and you needed the keys to get out. We had left the keys on the chest and so were locked out of the apartment but locked in the garden. I was about to throw my case over and scale the fence when I thought I'd just try the car gate further down and thankfully it wasn't locked I am a budget traveller and have stayed in much worse places but I don't mind if the price matches. In this case I feel the price was not worth it - I've stayed in far nicer places at almost...
Read moreWe were there for a few nights.the location is actually pretty convenient since it is close to a train station which was very useful to us. The room was small but clean and the bathroom was shared but clean too so our first impression was actually quite nice. But then after we returned from our daily excursions onbour first day, our AC remote had been taken with no prior notification or explanation. It was annoying and also a big invasion of our privacy. And since we returned quite late we couldn't wake her (the owner) up to ask for it. We had no choice but to open the window since the room was as hot as an oven. But since the b&b is close to a station, it was very loud. We couldn't sleep very well. Next morning.. we went to her expecting breakfast since it is a bed and breakfast after all. She did give us some food only after we requested for it which is quite strange. We also inquired about the remote and she said she'll give it back. While eating breakfast in a tiny dark corner next to the reception, we overheard a terrible incident too.. she was banging on a guest's door who was still asleep asking him to turn the AC off..when they didn't respond, she just opened their door and barged in to shut the AC off. This was highly disturbing and disrespectful. We could hear the guest complaining. We left for our daily excursions and returned and there still was no AC remote. So we had to sleep listening to the loud trains again. We were checking out the next morning and while we were packing she brought us our breakfast and the remote which was 2 days too late. She did help us with our baggage though.. which was very kind. Definitely wouldn't be...

Cons: The room was HOT! We asked for a fan but the lady never gave it to us. We had to sleep with the window open and on the floor close to the little balcony because of how hot the room was.
We shared a bathroom with other guests, which is not my favorite thing, but if you don't mind then it's ok. The shower head kept falling and the shower curtain rod was broken which did not hold the curtain.
The B&B was messy, things are falling apart and not the cleanest. I had to search for toilet paper and settled for a roll of napkins because the bathroom didn't have toilet paper. The outlet in our room was taped to the wall and the sink had a broken faucet.
If you're a light sleeper you will mind the train. The train tracks are directly behind it. I heard the train ALL night.
We were rushed out of our room because check out was at 9am, which I didn't realize and is too early for my taste. I had to finish packing my stuff outside at 0925 because she asked for the room. But she was nice about it.
She will do things and not do things with a smile, kinda just agreeing with you but not really helping you. This happened with the fan.
Theres a small pool, that is available for guests. We never got around to using it.
The location is good. It's a close walk to the train station and about a 10 to 15 min walk to the Arena. It's located in a neighborhood so it felt safe.
The lady is nice and amicable. She allowed us to leave our bags downstairs until our return about 7pm. That...
