Location and price were great, but we had some issues.
Namely:
-the shower was clogged and flooded, but they did send someone promptly to clear it. -the night desk attendant was not friendly, and didn’t believe me that I paid the tax at check-in. He argued with me on it and I’m not sure if he was trying to pocket the extra euros or something, but the hotel should have a system to indicate that I paid before receiving my key. I was asked for this payment at check in. -WiFi password wasn’t written anywhere in the room, and I didn’t receive any paper for check-in so had to call to ask for how to connect. -we had them arrange a take-away breakfast but they forgot to give it to us, maybe the rude late-night guy kept it. -we asked the front desk to call a taxi before we came down to get us to the airport for an early morning flight, and they said they would but didn’t so we lost 15 minutes of travel time standing in front of the hotel.
Otherwise, it was an okay accommodation. The AC was strong, breakfast looked like it would have been great, beds firm but functional and space clean. I’d stay again but hopefully have a better bathroom and different staff.
On the bright side, I look forward to seeing how the hotel can defend these issues, since an apology would be better than excuses.
Update: looks like the manager is active here which is great, but is not capable of admitting faults or apologizing. That’s a pretty significant negative, as inability to accept opportunity for improvement indicates an inability to improve. Mistakes happen, it’s not personal, but trying to avoid them in the future is better operationally and marketing in response reviews than trying to deflect every individual item. We travel through the area often, we won’t return to a place that doesn’t want to...

Read moreThe location is good, the train station is 8-10 mins walk from there. Also the city center is a good 15-20mins walking distance. The airport is like 10mins by taxi. We got a small room for a really good price, the bed was comfy enough, room was clean, though it came with some defects, there were many little insects around the window which is no big deal, I killed them all but I have seen some other guests complaining about them. The main unfortunate issue that happened to us is that the electricity went out due to a fuse defect while I was in the shower, the fuse panel made some crackling noises since the day before, when we occupied the room we heard it but weren't sure its the panel as the AC was loud and switched on and off so couldnt hear it properly. Obviously the porter couldn't fix the panel at the time in the evening so we were moved to another room which was great as it's a possible health and safety issue, so basically the issue was kind of solved from our side. Staff wise everyone was helpful and nice. We got help with a food order as there were no restaurants and shops around that night open and we didn't want to walk to the cc, and also a taxi order. Breakfast is included but don't expect anything crazy, a bit of pastries, scrambled eggs, etc. Overall it's a good place if you want to explore Verona in 2/3 days and don't want to spend a...
