Hotel with very good services. Service, breakfast, cleaning, room equipment - all was great. Reception is nonstop, we was able to check-in anytime. The problem was the very weird direct reservation process. After reservation I have received the official email asking me for the payment card number to be send via email or WhatsApp. It was absolutely unprofessional and insecure from the hotel. After escalation the alternative was offered me: to use PayPal, where hotel charged me additionl 5€ as fee of this payment without any warning before. So my recommendation to anybody else is to avoid the direct reservation here. Use some Booking portal instead for booking and payment of this hotel and you will be happy there.

For an owner to reply saying I left the window open is OBSURD and to make false allegations about me posting, I have NEVER made any review apart from this one due to how I was treated. I can’t believe, it has been turned onto me. Hundreds of flies in the room! The man at reception had a go at me infront of loads of customers while I was explaining the issue! HE WAS RUDE and all I was doing was showing him the pictures! Would never stay here again.

Very good and very clean! Friendly service on site and a very good option for a nice price/quality on your way to visit Verona! As a place which has a space on my heart, to visit Verona I would recommend Hotel Martini since its location and very clean rooms. Also breakfast included! With a good variety. It's not a luxurious place but it's one to feel comfortable and almost at home. Also very close to the train station and buses! Recommended

Location and price were great, but we had some issues.

Namely:

-the shower was clogged and flooded, but they did send someone promptly to clear it. -the night desk attendant was not friendly, and didn’t believe me that I paid the tax at check-in. He argued with me on it and I’m not sure if he was trying to pocket the extra euros or something, but the hotel should have a system to indicate that I paid before receiving my key. I was asked for this payment at check in. -WiFi password wasn’t written anywhere in the room, and I didn’t receive any paper for check-in so had to call to ask for how to connect. -we had them arrange a take-away breakfast but they forgot to give it to us, maybe the rude late-night guy kept it. -we asked the front desk to call a taxi before we came down to get us to the airport for an early morning flight, and they said they would but didn’t so we lost 15 minutes of travel time standing in front of the hotel.

Otherwise, it was an okay accommodation. The AC was strong, breakfast looked like it would have been great, beds firm but functional and space clean. I’d stay again but hopefully have a better bathroom and different staff.

On the bright side, I look forward to seeing how the hotel can defend these issues, since an apology would be better than excuses.

Update: looks like the manager is active here which is great, but is not capable of admitting faults or apologizing. That’s a pretty significant negative, as inability to accept opportunity for improvement indicates an inability to improve. Mistakes happen, it’s not personal, but trying to avoid them in the future is better operationally and marketing in response reviews than trying to deflect every individual item. We travel through the area often, we won’t return to a place that doesn’t want to...

This is a well kept and clean hotel that provides great value for money in Verona.|Our air-conditioned room (401) was modern / utilitarian in design but provided all we needed for a quiet and comfortable stay over 3 nights.|The bathroom was clean and freshened daily and the shower (most important to us) was large and with a plentiful supply of hot water.|Kettle and hair dryer both provided in the room together with an empty but working mini-bar fridge.|Without exception the staff were helpful and attentive and the reception staff spoke pretty good English (far better than my Italian).|They provided details of local eating places and booked a taxi for us that turned up within a few minutes of asking.|A special mention must go to Michael on reception though for his knowledge and willingness to make our stay a success.|Breakfast was of a comprehensive continental style but with plentiful, good quality items that were regularly topped up throughout the session.|We were travelling independently by public transport so the hotel’s location near, but not too close to, the Porta Nuova train and bus stations was ideal. It took about 10 minutes for us to get there dragging small suitcases - we walk slowly! 😁|There was little noise considering the hotel’s proximity to some major roads (& current roadworks).|It took us about the ‘advertised ‘ 18-20 minutes to walk directly into the old town at Castelvecchio via Porta Palio and on the one occasion we took a taxi it cost us just under €10 for the same trip.|Would definitely recommend looking at this hotel if you’re not wanting to spend the mega-bucks asked for by the hotels in the old town. We found it very good value for money and would certainly consider staying here...

The location is good, the train station is 8-10 mins walk from there. Also the city center is a good 15-20mins walking distance. The airport is like 10mins by taxi. We got a small room for a really good price, the bed was comfy enough, room was clean, though it came with some defects, there were many little insects around the window which is no big deal, I killed them all but I have seen some other guests complaining about them. The main unfortunate issue that happened to us is that the electricity went out due to a fuse defect while I was in the shower, the fuse panel made some crackling noises since the day before, when we occupied the room we heard it but weren't sure its the panel as the AC was loud and switched on and off so couldnt hear it properly. Obviously the porter couldn't fix the panel at the time in the evening so we were moved to another room which was great as it's a possible health and safety issue, so basically the issue was kind of solved from our side. Staff wise everyone was helpful and nice. We got help with a food order as there were no restaurants and shops around that night open and we didn't want to walk to the cc, and also a taxi order. Breakfast is included but don't expect anything crazy, a bit of pastries, scrambled eggs, etc. Overall it's a good place if you want to explore Verona in 2/3 days and don't want to spend a...
