徳の宿 ふぶ庵 — Hotel in Beppu

Lovely, Japanese style inn. Rooms are well maintained and clean. The baths in the rooms were an amazing experience. Easy to work out and relaxing. Lady at reception was very helpful. If you want a true Japanese experience then this is the place for you. Very quiet place, with the trade off being that you will need to catch a bus or taxi to the train station to travel to other tourist spots. However, in saying this though it is within walking distance to the first five Jingoku Dani, (the main tourist hot springs) and there are also plenty of great restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. It was an excellent experience in every aspect. Nothing beats a relaxing private onsen after each day out and the staff was so nice too. For what we got it was a very good price. The small houses are each unique and no matter which one you get, it'll look and feel nice. Beware that some of them are Futon only though.There is no English translation for anything, but everything went smoothly with our small Japanese skills and Google Translate (the last of which could probably suffice by itself, especially as the staff is eager to throw in some English and Google Translate by themselves).Thank you very much, we'll come again if we come to the...

We had a wonderful stay here and having our own private onsen with a view is definitely something we’ll remember for a while. But what was even more memorable was the level of service provided when my partner caught a cold during our trip. Hirose-san helped direct us to local drug stores and even helped with making reservations to nearby medical clinics to get a quick exam. We’re really thankful for her support and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time...
