別邸 はる樹 — Local services in Beppu

Bettei Haruki was widely published on local travel magazines, we were attracted to book here for its' signature photo of an indoor onsen.||Total of 6 guest rooms, 4 of which has private open-air onsen. There was extra 3 private onsen within the premises, Nadeshiko and Kikyou were the nice ones in the attached house. Those onsen were occupied when slippers were placed in the shoes shelf in front of the outdoor corridor. Suzushiro was a much smaller onsen suitable for single person only.||Our room, Seri was satisfactory, little bit dated with old TV and safety deposit box, but it was clean with renovated toilet. It provided free mini-bar with refreshing cold drinks in fridge. Kaiseki dinner was average considering the room rate it charged.|||| Wi-fi: said to be under maintenance ||||Access: Exit from East side of Beppu JR, turn right , second bus stop.||Get on bus bound for Kannawa, get off at Shin Beppu , walk forward to the red bridge, Bettei Haruki was just across the road at beginning of bridge. Friendly and attentive service. Generous food portion and creative menu with nice local flavors. The shared onsen are three private baths that can be booked by family/couples. There are four rooms at this ryokan with one of the rooms with its own private bath so we never had to wait to use a bath.

The room is spacious and has an authentic Japanese home feel. We experienced a winter snow storm during our stay and while we can hear the wind buffet the house all night, we stayed warm and comfortable...

We would like to thank you again for the amazing stay in your hotel. You, the staff, were just so lovely and helpfull and nice. We were treated like king and it was amazing. Thanks a lot again to the amazing women who ran to give me back a part of my tent that I forgot in the hotel room. It was just so nice. It saves my tent (and the rest of our trip). So thank a lot again. You are amazing. We will come back.
