Ichinoharu Kyodo onsen — Local services in Beppu

Amazing local onsen. Entrance ¥200, you need to bring your own shampoos and towel. Operating hours 5:30 - 22:00, no parking, Beppu onsen stamp above the box you put the money in.

The changing area is one with the tub so you can see your stuff while bathing, no lockers. The tub is small size, square shape, located almost at the center-corner of the room with some space around it to wash up. The floor and the whole tub is made big granite stones, really nice! The water is transparent and as the area around the tub is quite small and connected to the changing area you need to be quite careful while washing yourself not to splash any shampoo water inside the tub or at the changing area. The walls are made of concrete and wood. There is tap with cold water (above the source) to add if the water is too hot for you. There are three big windows which allow plenty of day light in. I measured the water in the tub at 47.1°C. The whole place has a wonderful retro feeling (the tub hasn't been renovated and remains the same for the last 80 years), visited on Thursday early afternoon and bathed completely alone for 40 minutes. Totally recommended for a local onsen experience.

土曜日の午後３時30分ころに入浴。建物前に車が1台なんとか停められるスペースがあったので停めました。ちょうど地元のおばちゃんが出て来て、風呂から出る時は水を止める、湯元にある木の棒で湯に栓をすることというルールを教えてくれ、「今は男湯も女湯も誰もいないからごゆっくり。」と言ってくれました。地区住民では無い人は入浴料200円です。お金を入れる箱があります。小銭を準備するのを忘れたので道路を挟んだ斜め前にある個人商店の自動販売機でジュースを買って小銭を作りました。いざ入ろうとしたら子供がトイレを言い出しました。別府の地区温泉にはだいたいトイレがありますが、ここには無かったです。仕方なく、斜め前の個人商店に行き、頼んだら快く貸してくれました。お礼に商店で菓子を買いました。温泉に戻り、お金を入れて入浴。脱衣場と浴室が一体型です。洗い場は狭いので他の客がいると気を使うと思います。浴槽は石造りの正方形です。湯加減はちょうど良かったです。湯元の木の棒を抜くと浴槽に湯が入る仕組みです。つまり、出る時に棒を挿さなければいけないのは、温度が熱くなりすぎないための措置だと分かりました。貸切状態でのんびり30分くらい入れました。帰る時におばあちゃんが入浴に来て、私の車が邪魔のようでした。車は別の場所に停めて、歩いていくべきでした。バス路線にあるので、バスで行くの...

♨️これ？共同浴場♨️

別府でもなかなか見ない、その共同浴場は交通量が多い通りの脇に突然しました。外観〜鄙びた温泉とインパクトのある看板😁

入浴料¥200を集金箱に入れ、薬師さんに👏🏻のれん一枚潜れば、浴場‼︎この時短がいい😁

入浴場を見るなり、鄙びてる〜ビシバシと感じられる。少し独泉を楽しんでると85才のおじいちゃんが登場。いつもの様に他所者がお邪魔してますと、挨拶をする。おじいちゃんは笑顔で挨拶をしてくださる。この温泉には相当昔から通ってらっしゃる様でこの温泉の昔話を聞きした。

20分位経って…そろそろ出ようかな…最後にいつまでもお元気で‼︎と声かける。
